I'd take it just to spite future me for being so vague, I'd then put all the money into researching time travel I'd then go back repeating what I had told myself insuring that my past self will attempt to spite my present self and build a time machine after realising my genius plan. I will then use the time machine to have an epic adventure through time.

I wouldn't. Future me would probably be intelligent enough to not fuck me over. Then again, wouldn't not picking up the money mess up time since the future depends on me to get the money so by not doing so it may mess up everything.

This is under the assumption that you can even guarantee that your future self is your future self.

To be honest, the foreknowledge that in the future I'll have access to time travel technology would ruin my life more than money ever could.

It would far too easy to live without worrying about the consequences of anything, knowing that I could just go back in time and rectify all my arsehole behaviour.

I think that my future self is actually responsible for all the life ruination, which he caused just by appearing to me, so I would take the money to spite him.

You suddenly won £10,000,000 from somewhere (where is not important). Its totally legit. Just as you were about to accept the money your future-self appears from a portal or something with a warning: "Dont take the money it will ruin your life and others around you" Your future self jumps back into the portal and disappears.

Future Me knows better than to tell me not to do something. He'd likely have come back because he knew if I had warning about how it could ruin my life, I could work to avert the disaster to come.

Yup, I'd still take the money. Now that I know that something bad might happen I'd be extra-super cautious and not take stupid risks or spend it all in one place (like Vegas or whatnot). And if something bad still happens... well, at least I went down feeling happy and rich.

Totally. I mean, if the future isn't predetermined then I can take the money knowing I'll have to be careful with it, as in one possible universe it ruined my life - forewarned is forearmed. On the other hand, if the future is predetermined then I have to take the money as my future self did.

Besides, it would seem that one of the things I bought with my £10,000,000 was a time machine, and that's gotta count for something.

I can't trust myself even in the present so i differnantly wouldn't trust my future self. I would be cautious with the money and give some to chairity possibly. Not much can go wrong from an anoumouyous money giving to say a hospital.
