I'm too scared to even try Marijuana. My brother was addicted to weed and was really fucked up and still is although to a lesser extent, who knows I might have the same drug problems my brother does.
Even if my brother wasn't screwed up I would still stay away from the kind of drugs you speak of especially one like heroin. I've just been taught that way and I hear a lot of stories of peoples lives screwed up.

I did it once and while enjoyable at the moment I did not like what it did to my body and how long I was a wreck after it. So no I won't be doing heroin again.

I wouldn't try Heroin, and anything else for that matter. You know, valuing your life and body, bad childhood memories and all that stuff. Never actually saw the point of drugs anyway, but I do believe they should be legal.

No way. Tobacco is hard enough to stay away from one you get hooked, and I've heard that heroine is comparable in terms of addictiveness. If tobacco was as unhealthy as heroine, I'd have died years ago.

No. Heroin is crazy addictive and one of the hardest drugs to be on. It's just...bad. If nearly any other drug was legalised I'd try, but I draw the line at shit like Heroin, crack and meth.
I'm with this guy. I'd much rather smoke some weed a weekend instead of drinking, but its illegal for some stupid reason :\

You're kidding right? Tobacco is like candy compared to heroine in terms of addictive properties.

The jury is still out on whether smoking is anything more than habitual addiction. I'd certainly argue that it isn't chemical like heroine.
I've actually read this too in a science magazine. While you dont get hooked as fast on nicotine as on heroine, the addictive properties of nicotine are HUGE.

There are two kinds of addiction, mental and physical. Afaik for example acid is not physically addictive (as in you dont go into withdrawal if you dont get it). Nicotine and heroine on the other hand, is.

If I really really wanted to do heroin and it were legal I would just melt down some oxies and boot that instead considering most places that make pills sold in pharmacies tend to be a touch cleaner that people who make heroin.

Noooooooooooooooooooooo.

I'll just refer to Neil Young's "The Needle and the Damage Done" for anyone even remotely curious.

Probably not. Anyone seen 'Trainspotting'? Not pretty. I don't want my flatmate's dead child with my bestfriend's face crawling along the ceiling and dropping down on me.

That sounds pretty weird if you haven't seen it. It is.

I think you know what I meant without being so literal about it. However, for the record, I don't smoke or drink either. I do drink a can of Mt. Dew a day though. I don't think Mt. Dew is the same league as heroine.
I am not being that literal. There are very few drugs that are more harmful to society in general and users than alcohol, yet people usually don't see it.

Never been into the serious downers. And as a rule of thumb, I don't do anything intravenous.

Now LSD on the other hand, I'd do that a lot more if it was easier to get a hold of. You have no idea how much that helps with creativity.

I assume this is questioning whether or not legalising all drugs is a good idea or not. I think the results are always going to show that people who don't want to try something won't, no matter how easy it is to get ahold of. And the people who do want to try it, well they're going to do it despite it's legality.

There's probably a very small cross section of the population that are well and truly fence sitters on a subject like this. And I think at the least, every drug should be decriminalised. It is no business of the government if someone wants to put stuff in their body or not. Simple as that. Although, I do agree that the hard substances such as heroine and meth shouldn't be outright legalised and commercialised. Some people cannot handle trying those substances once. They're nothing like Weed or Acid. They have true addictive properties. And personally, I wouldn't try them for fear of getting addicted.
Here it's legal to take drugs, but not to sell, import or make them. Drug addicts even get help taking it if they want to. I think that's how it should be. Addiction isn't a crime.

OT: I wouldn't take it even if it were legal. I doubt I'd even try marijuana if that got legalized. There's actually a chance that will be legalized in a few years here, but I still doubt I'll try it.
