I enjoy saving the game and then killing everything in Rivet City. That's all I do when I play Fallout 3, so you get my opinion.

Blood for the Blood God! Unless you can change it for flowers and sparkles like other people have suggested. If so then sparkles and flowers for the Sparkles and Flowers God!

I think that every enemy we kill should have a shining-esque elevator of blood coming out of a 9mm bullet hole, because that's realism ;)

Not really, but I never adjust gore in games, the designers made it how they think it should look so I respect how it is, for example, gears of war just isn't gears of war without the gore. Everyone knows GOW gore is way over the top though.

I do get that twisted satisfaction when I preform a fatality and blood spurts everywhere... I wouldn't turn off the blood, I don't mind it not being there but sometimes I enjoy it.
I'm kind of disappointed when I shoot/slash someone and nothing happens.

I can see the ignorant comments people would make if you did, but it's not like their opinion should matter if you prefer the ultra-blood and gore off.

No, but I do not think someone is a wuss for turning it off. I do think someone is being anal though when it is because it is not 'realistic' though.
The option to turn it off usually is in games now though.

I always disable most of the blood if possible.

I don't need to see my screen being filled with more blood than what the average anime character has [http://i44.tinypic.com/2pzi5ax.jpg] every time I kill someone.

I can understand it in games like Gears of War, and I'll never play those games, but at least give me an option to disable it in 'normal' games.

I find some people's stance on video games a bit odd to be honest.

Like the little Timmy scenario. First off, little Timmy should not be playing a game rated M for Mature, like Gears of War, Madworld and the like. So you shouldn't say
"Let's make sure we can turn it off for the kids" because in all honesty, kids should not even be playing these games. I know they do anyways, but if you're looking from a parental standpoint, I would not buy a game for my 7 year old that I knew would show a man's penis get chopped off or some stupid crap like that.

And for ADULTS who buy the games, it should be an option and it is an option in quite a few games. Gears of War has an option to turn off gore. Although I personally prefer the blood because it's easier to tell if I shoot someone.

And I'll agree that gore can be good if used correctly. Gore for gore's sake is ridiculous.

I'd never turn the blood off, but if it means Gears of War 2 can get shipped to Germany, then why the hell not? Put a button in there. I won't touch it, but it's not like it affects me.

Blood makes games better. It's a proven fact. D'you think Gears would be as much fun as it is without the ridiculous over-the-top violence? Nearly every review I read said, at one point or another, this gun has a frickin' chainsaw on the end of it.

Depends on the game. Because occasionally the gratuitous amounts of life-juice on screen can get distracting when it's flowing from every living thing besides the protagonist. Other than those few games, I don't really care.

Isn't turning off blood showing that your heartless actions are squeaky clean fun, rather than the bloody mess they really are?
No way would I turn it off, too much awesome!

The option to turn off the blood is a good idea, but I prefer having the blood on as it just seems to be more authentic when someone gets shot, if they just died without blood then it looks weird :(

Well I like the option being there, for those who don't want the gore, in games like Gears of war where the blood might be a bit too much for some.
I never turn it off myself, but I commend developers for giving us the option.

Meh, it's not a bad idea to have the choice. Makes parents feel safer with games, I guess, therefore helping the gaming industry.
If people want blood, that's fine and they can have it. If people don't want blood, they should still have the ability to kill things on a game.
Mood: Apathetic.

I think it's silly NOT having the blood... you get used too it.

EDIT: But, that's only my opinion and appreciate the freedom of choice.

Some games don't need blood. I play Killer Instinct for the N64 without blood because I like seeing the combos rather than the blood covering their bodies while the combo is going on.
