Depends...is this special someone hot? /jk

Having had no experience with love of any real sort, I really can't predict how such emotions would destroy my usually pragmatic thinking. That said...I think it would be tempting... but mainly for the kick ass lightning that you can shoot out your fingers. That and the awesome evil laugh that naturally comes with turning to the dark side!

Option 7:
I'd be all 'Red Mage' and get the best of both worlds so I could outsmart my foe.

In this situation I would change only because it benefits me, the next situation I might change again depending on my options, as long as it is best for me then change away.

Light Side all the way
I would not betray. Losing the one I Love would give me even more motivation to destroy the evil ones.
A smaller, sub-question for this topic:

Do you think losing the one you love would make you that little bit less Light Side, even for a little bit? Like you'd care about stuff less, and care less how your actions would affect people?
Psychology isn't binary, you don't have to become Kratos when you lose someone.

I mean, look at all the anti heroes we have now. They kind stopped caring, but do the right thing. Most of the time.

I'd stay on the light side. Pulling apart your value system and eventually losing yourself to the darkness just seem rather extreme to avoid the pain of one loss. It's a big loss but the world is unfair and turning to try and control it just makes you a big dick.

I would turn to the dark side based on the principle that the current government system is an absolute joke. Seriously take a minute and think about it, you have a government based on what seems to be hundreds if not thousands of planets, yet we see no real army or force to enact the laws of this government. This is where the biggest problem pops up, someone comes along with any sized army and just wreaks havoc, like the Trade Federation. And the government is 1) Unable to stop them and 2) Completely ineffectual in even investigating the mater. Seriously they send two jedi to look into the matter, and even the trade federation knows that the current government is such bs that they would kill the jedi and be like what jedi? we didn't see any jedi. And even when the Jedi get back and report on the whole damn matter you'd think the government would be like uhh trade federation you tried to kill our investigators and you're actually doing acts of aggression, we're going to have to put a stop to you. But no, they have to investigate the matter further.
Hell we've seen cloud city under the Imperial empire, it doesn't seem like people are suffering, it seems to be that the Empire is actually working as well or even better than the previous gov't. Sure there is a power hungry dictator at the helm who sprouts anti rebel propaganda, but they actually did some good. Technology (at least in the books) went pretty damn far, people are still prospering, there is an actual enforcement of law. I mean yea sure a dictator is at the helm but he is just power hungry, it isn't like he is taxing the people into starvation or performing acts of genocide (lets ignore that one planet going boom).
plus dictators arent bad at all, they are the more functional type of government....exept most of em are loonies, leaces, thieves and cuthroughts. if you get a good one though, prepare for an age of everything actualy working like it should XD

1. She's worth it.
2. Cool Force Powers.
3. Dark Siders can do what they want, Light Siders follow stricter rules.
No powers are inherently good or evil. It is how you use them. But I would probally have to switch If I loved her enough.

Oh, sure. And then after I turned to evil to save her life, I would totally just strangle her myself of course. Thanks for reminding me of the absolute worst part of that entire sextilogy. And thanks for making me google what a set of six is called.

Very strong beliefs plus stubbornness means I ain't betraying them anytime soon, regardless of practicality.

Why isn't there a choice for neutral?
I mean neither being a wuss being lead by a council of idiots(yes, tell the all powerful guy off for being worried bout his loved one instead of consoling him) or becoming part of a group of ugly freaks with poor impulse control appeal to me.
As it stands, nah, I wouldn't turn. I mean really, who wouldn't stop to think that a person from a group known to be manipulators to be, I dunno, lying to you.
Besides, why do I need to go to the darkside to get cool powers?
At least whenever I was playing KOTOR, I was the nice guy who went around helping people and frying, choking and screaming at people in my way, alignment penalties be damned.

I would most definitely do whatever it took if I thought I could save her. The unfortunate irony was that it was following this course of action that ultimately doomed them both.

Nevertheless, the third movie was so powerful for me because I could easily see myself going down the exact same road for the exact same reasons. That and John Williams. Seriously, I cry just listening to the score from that movie.

I guess you could say I'm already dark-side, but in the sense that I would not be willing to follow the Jedi code. Probably in between grey and dark-side. I would save them through whatever means necessary that the person I'm saving would allow. I don't want to save them only for them to hate me afterwards for what I had done.
