Nope. Don't drink, don't like crowds, don't like Yahtzee.

I was going to say don't like games, but that would be too far.
About sums up my feeling on the subject. Also "Don't live in Austrailia."

Visiting the Mana Bar would be my only reason for going to Australia. It's at least an 8 hour flight, and I'm terrified of most of their wildlife.

Its kind of ironic that opening in Australia, dont you think?
It is a little, actually - though here's hoping they've snagged themselves some import versions of games! (Unless that wouldn't be legal given it's a public bar? Not sure how that'd work myself)

If I lived in the area, sure, but I probably wouldn't play there if they only have consoles:
- I'll eat broken glass before I ever enjoy using a pad. Ever. EVER.

- I'm concentrated when I play, I cannot pay attention to the environment around me at the
same time (same when programming or reading a good book), any movement around would make me jump of surprise

- and perhaps also the usual "omg a chick playing !!11" nerds, but escapists are usually fine in that regard

But watch others play and have drinks, sure :)

I think it would be nice to see some drunk swinging a Wii Remote like a Medieval Claymore. I'll go if I'm ever in the area.

What these people have done is created a venue for nerds to socialize.

I was under the impression that nerds arent too savvy in crowded densely populated areas. I think it will end up drawing more loud mouth college douchebag types.

As a Brisbanite, I fully intend to go. I live about 5 mins' drive from the Valley. I can't wait!

Maybe, I don't drink so I would probably mainly only show up during events. Unless my friends wanted to go there, of course.

Would be funny to see a brawl between drunken gamers. Trying to "hadouken" or jumping on each other's head.

Perhaps if I was in the area I would look inside, but I don't do crowds, so I'd probably not stay there for long.
But I am on the opposite side of the world.
