I think Obama is taking on all fronts of his goals at the same time, which is going to take more than six months. I love his rhetoric, no president I've ever seen has been so open and transparent in what's going on, including the problems he's encountering. I'm hoping actual actions will start filling in the goals, but I understand it takes more than six months.
Oh, there's no question that Obama was the better choice between the two in the last election. I'm just not entirely sure he's the best man to vote for this time around, although in all honesty, it's not likely to be a whole lot better in terms of choice.Rajin Cajun said:

As an aside, I never really bought into the whole "Change" thing, and for what I feel are pretty good reasons. First, Obama is a successful politician, making him a member of an esteemed group who makes a living telling people what they want to hear. Second, Obama is but one man in the vast burecracy that is our government, even if he has the best of intentions he is not going to make monumental change happen during his presidency. Third, dramatic change has traditionally be decried in this nation, and is only attempted during extraordinary times of crisis. While the current economic climate is far from ideal and our foriegn policy situation is a bit shaky, neither is severe enough to provide the catalyst for drastic change in process or policy.
Actually, I voted libertarian because both sides have disgusted me for far too long. It didn't matter who I voted for in all honestly. There was no way mccain was going to lose my district (he could admit to devouring live children and partaking in deviant sexual acts with the devil himself and win in my district), and because apparently I'm better at judging these things than people around me I knew there was no way Mccain was going to win overall. As such, I could vote for the loser and have no impact, or I could vote for the winner and have no impact. I figured since my vote was meaningless there was no reason to vote for the lesser of the evils so I voted for the one man still in the race who makes even the slightest bit of sense to me these days.

Leaning a good bit towards Obama, but it depends on the issues in the 2012 election and whoever the republican candidate is. I'll say this: If it's Palin, my vote's going straight to Obama.

Remember Carter? In his first few months, everyone loved President Peanut. Then the Iran Hostage Crisis happened and we all then found out what a giant wuss Carter was.
Remember Bush? After 9/11 he had around an 86% approval rating and many were hailing him as the secound coming of Reagan...........Well we all know how that all turned out.
