X-men movies kinda piss me off in general. Three big reasons though:

1. Juggernaut was just some random mutant. What happened to be being Xavier's step brother?
2. They gave Gambit like 5 minutes of screen time.
3. Deadpool turned into some random fool with the ability to shoot lasers out of his eyes.

So really, the last two movies piss me off.

I didn't like the film, but not because of what they did to any of the characters (like Deadpool), as I never read the comics. I did not like it because it bored me.

which....as already stated is wrong....Deadpool talks...he talks LOTS in the comic books, typically people comment on how you can't shut him up. in the movie Mouth sowed shut
Until the end of the movie during the credits. Then he can talk again.

I was disappointed with Gambit. Could have done better. X3 was horrible. X1 and 2 were decent but honestly, I don't like how they are interpreting the comics. X2 and 3 were essentially Magneto and the next Origins I hear they are doing is Magneto. I had a conversation on my livejournal with a friend of mine about this. X3 they essentially killed everyone so we wind up with this: Since they can't go forward they can't have other characters like Cable who is Cyclops and Jeans son, and crap like that. There's a lot they could have done if they kept most everyone alive. which was an argument placed on my journal.

Deadpool Rocks, but... THEY KILLED HIM AT THE END
oh ya spoiler...
Go watch it again and this time, stay through the credits so you know what you're talking about.

Didn't ruin the movie for me. But then I'm one of those filthy heathens who doesn't appreciate Deadpool's comic status as I have never read a single Marvel comic in my life (How dare I?).

Not meant as an attack on you or anything. Just sayin', haven't read the comics so really wouldn't know/care.
And yet most of the comic films that sht on the comics wind up being bad films.... all but for the zombies who only watch and pal1ly for the eye candy and nothing else....
"pal1ly"? ...Your whole sentence kinda fell apart there. I have no idea what that means.

Anyhow. I thought it was a pretty good movie, the special effects weren't all that impressive. I was kinda disappointed that a cool character like Wade just up and got killed by Victor and that it is further only alluded to in a couple lines. Then he gets brought back as computer-controlled supermutant guy, I was kinda... "What."

Overall, whether they "took artistic license" or "sht on the comics", I thought it was a pretty good movie. Really, you should be glad more people are taking an interest in the franchise, even if it is through movies that bend the canon a bit. They could find all the comics and take an interest and learn how the story initially (not truly, work of fiction people) went. Or would you rather have no movies at all and the entire franchise just stagnates where it is now? I'm sure a ton of movies are based on older works and bend the stories a bit, but most people don't mind that. I suppose it is because comics are much younger and used to be very popular with a generation that is still alive that people are so vocal about this.

But enough ranting about comics and movies inspired by them. Safe to say fancy special effects don't impress me, and I liked the movie, because it gave me a more complete image of Wolverine as portrayed by Hugh Jackman, who frankly, is pretty badass.

It was still a good movie. To fit it into a movie they took some artistic license. I wish there were bad ass fighting scenes though. Hope they do gambit next.

So, you watched it to the end.... and then you decided to not like it?
So I've been hearing its Magneto.

I want GAMBIT!!!!!!!!!! I had a thing for him as a child. and then Cyclops. and then Jean Gray. and then Rogue. and when I say Rogue, not Anna Paquain, she doesn't feel like Rogue to me.

I read the comics as a child. I'm going to steal my boys box of them and re-read them all.

I hate your poll, and I refuse to vote in it due to the caps lock and exclamation points.
That is all.
Harsh.
I never claimed to be a nice guy.
But seriously - exclamation points make you look excited.
Being excited is uncool.
I am never uncool.
I am, and I take pride in it!!!!!

OK! I just got back form seeing the movie. Like, 10 minutes ago.

I liked it.

If you go into any super hero movie, whether you've read the comics or not, and expect true greatness and follows the canon to the letter and/or has such a deep moving story along with the best fight scenes ever (Or 'EVAR!!1!'), then you will always be disappointed. Always. Once you just expect a fun story with lots of explosions, a few one liners, a story that basically holds together, and people beating the crap out of each other, you'll enjoy yourself far more. You might even be surprised, as I was when I saw 'The Watchmen'.

If you're a comic book geek who is infuriated over the butchering of the canon: Get over it. This isn't the comics. This is a movie adaptation of the comics. You don't like it? Go back to reading the comics. I never read them, and I'm sure they are different, but so what? It was a fun movie.

And if you're going to an X-Men movie expecting the movie equivalent of Schindler's List (With Mutants), then really...really take off your beret, put down the monocle, stop drinking the star bucks, and attempt to pull your head from your asshole. It's a super hero movie. Seriously.

Anyways: Again, I liked it.

I found it quite good, considering i went into the movie with low expectations, there were some cheesy parts, but you can overlook them.

I do agree that they ruined Deadpool, it felt dissappointing to see this amalgamation of freaks, and then to sew his mouth shut, but you can't expect any less, considering its a movie, and they tend to destroy little bits for the sake of a wider audience.

I really have absolutly have no idea why so many people are trashing this movie,I guess it's because of how "mainstream" it is right?
look,I am probally Deadpool's Number 1 fan and the movie wasn't "ruined" at all.
There are a million ways Weapon X1 can become deadpool(the guy at the end had wilson's body but it wasn't Deadpool)from the comics.Go on the IMDB page and see how many people are bitching about gambit's accent and such. The movie was fantastic and did what it was meant to do...tell wolverines story(in which I felt did a great job)and entertain.

Alright Baby Tea there is no nice way to say this, your a moron. Firstly if you say you should not expect true greatness out of any comic book movie, you should go back and see The Watchmen, The Dark Knight, Iron Man,the Incredible Hulk, Hellboy 2, Sin City, 300, SpiderMan 1-2 and X-men 2....Granted these are opinions but those movies were exactly what I wanted. So great comic book movies DO exist. And Schindler's list with Mutants, yea I know your just being extrema but come on. there's not a soul on this planet that expected it to be that good.

The only reason you are saying that is because as you said. You don't read them. You telling me to get over them butchering deadpool to the point of no return is like someone making a movie about the 2008 Superbowl and having the other team win...Fans of the team that won are going to be pissed! So no. the whole "get over it" attitude does not work when you like something your told its going to be in a movie, you see the movie and that something *this can be literally anything* was done THAT wrong...Its not going to settle well.

You seem to be blinded by your own opinion and think that you thought it was a good action movie so who cares about the source material? Well, I'm sorry but its the source material that got me interested in the movie and the team that made this one forgot about the source....but I'm glad you liked it.

simply put it's "cool" to bash and say how much movies suck, this is the same crowd that will also bash every George Lucas movie as well

i didn't care that Wade Wilson died as it was a movie about Wolverine and not a Deadpool or Wade Wilson movie. if you couldn't figure that out by the title then well you should learn how to read
