I could care less about 256 player matches in massive maps.
Why?
Because more people doesn't automatically make a game better.

Bah! More fanboys...peel15 said:Problem number one with Massive Action Game on the 360:
Microsoft: Microsoft being the evil corporation they are making really crappy consoles that die on you after three years right before the release of MAG and they greedy so they'd make you pay even more to play MAG online.
Problem number two
It makes no sense to put it on the 360 because MAG requires TEAMWORK something that 360 users are not capable of. *stares at mw2*
Problem number three
The PS3 is better anyways.
XBL can support the type of server structure that MAG uses, can't it?TelHybrid said:256 players on a peer to peer network like xbox live? LOL
That's the point, XBL doesn't use servers at all. The player's consoles are the hosts for the games. This is why the maximum number of players on a game on XBL is something like 24, whereas PSN actually uses servers hence the support for MAG.Pingieking said:Bah! Exactly! We have a genius right here!Onyx Oblivion said:I could care less about 256 player matches in massive maps.

I keep hearing that the reason it can handle such a thing is because the map is partitioned off, so you're all essentially playing on the same map, but in your own sections.MetallicaRulez0 said:Yea, that's just what we need. A game that allows 27 different 13 year olds to scream into your ear instead of the standard 5. Sounds like a super duper plan.
On a more serious note, I find it hard to believe that MAG isn't going to be laggy as fuck. Just a hunch I have.
i've seen a tube vid where 128 players on a team converged and ran around for lulz.ChromeAlchemist said:I keep hearing that the reason it can handle such a thing is because the map is partitioned off, so you're all essentially playing on the same map, but in your own sections.MetallicaRulez0 said:Yea, that's just what we need. Can anyone confirm that? If it's true, then MAG is lies. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, as the game looks enticing.
Uhmm...Never mind. I won't start.Zedzero said:360 doesn't have the power like PS3, it would be immpossible, maybe next gen.
Well, Demon's Souls is awesome. Hell, one of my friends want to get a PS3 JUST for that game. I'm not saying it's impossible on 360, just more tricky.Xzi said:Ehh...it could easily be changed to require a gold membership for the online features. Now, it WON'T be ported because Sony needs to hang on to every decent exclusive for dear life, especially after losing sole control of FF13.Jekken6 said:About no 360 Demon's Souls: It can't happen, due to the way the online component works and the pay-to-play nature of LIVE.Xzi said:Like I care. 360 owners got ME2 on the 26th, rated at 95%+. PS3 owners got MAG on the same day, with sub-par ratings at best, 80%-. I'll take a deep RPG over a generic shooter with extra players any day.zzz3339 said:I was wondering, who else thinks that the 360 should get a game like MAG?
The one game I would want ported from the PS3 to 360 is Demon's Souls.
Which is unfortunate, because I'd love to play Demon's Souls even if it were ported to PC.
