I felt that Microsoft exclusives were a touch better not by a large margin but the system is so bad all it means is that Microsoft are just dicks who are stopping me from playing great games cause I wouldn't touch the XBone with a ten foot pole.

I mostly just wish I could play Titanfall and Project Spark.

The only exclusive that me kinda curious was The Second Son. I was never interested in Infamous series, but Troy Baker's performance was awesome and whole idea of a hero who enjoys his super hero powers like a little child really clicks with me.
Definitely. I played the first one as part of Sony's "sorry we got hacked" campaign and it was cool but not enough to make the second one a must buy for me. I like how the story of this new one seems to be going in a different direction. Rather basically becoming god and fighting another god, its more of a "one man vs the establishment kind of thing". Not too original, but it looks fun

Edit:

Wait, I still need some clarification: Is MGSV exclusive to Xbone, or is this an example of the (confirmed, as far as I know) rumour that Microsoft paid off developers to show some multiplatform games only for their console at E3?
MGSV is for both PS4 and XBOne.

It been confirmed for PS4 since the start of the year, the fact that it's for XBone too is new.

And that's mostly because the XBone was released after PS4 or they would have been announced at the same time.

MGS Ground Zero on the other hand is currently looking like PS4 exclusive, but that might just be because it's coming out after V and Microsoft/Konami hasn't really said anything much about it yet. Other than a few trailers (though the game-play parts were done on PS4, hence we know PS4).

Only exclusive I am particularly intertested in is Forza 5. But I'm not getting an Xbox One just for that.

No MGS V is not an Xbone exclusive. Major Nelson got on his twitter and confirmed that after the show, apparently he 'forgot' to mention it at an earlier date.
Thanks for the clarification, any word on Sunset Overdrive, though? That was the only Xbone game I was actually interested in, (I prefer to just watch Let's Plays of the MGS games.)
Unfortunately I haven't heard anything about Sunset Overdrive, I doubt it is though, doesn't the dev team have a good run with Sony? I doubt they'll cut them out of the deal.
Yeah, they're responsible for Resistance and Ratchet & Clank; two of Sony's biggest exclusives.

Well, if MGS and Sunset are both making their way to PS4, then I have literally no reason to get an Xbone, this is good news.

Captcha: 'Good Luck'. Give it to Microsoft, they need it more than me.

The only Xbox exclusive I care about is Spark and maybe Quantum Break. I can't believe they've decided to go dark and serious on the Dead Rising series.

On the other hand, I can't wait for Two Souls or inFamous Second Son and we know that Naughty Dog will be making games for Sony too, so I think Sony barely edges Microsoft out

Here's a list the intelligent and polite folks at /v/ have managed to cook up with a surprisingly low amount of hate filled bile spewing.

I don't know how to make that appear as an image.

The only game that makes me sad is Quantum Break on the Xbone, but i'll labor on in the hopes that it will come out on PC later like Alan Wake did. I almost care about Dead Rising 3 but it's not the same studio which made the first game, which I liked, and I believe it's the studio which made the sequel, which I actively dislike.

Good news, project spark will be on PC and 360. http://www.vg247.com/2013/06/10/project-spark-is-a-game-about-making-your-own-game/

Cheers! PC is probably going to be an even better platform for a game like that, mouse control is important.

I much preferred what the PS4 showed. The only Xbone games I liked the look of at the MS conference were MGSV, The Witcher 3 (sorta, I liked the other two but didn't think they were incredible) and Titanfall looked kind of OK. All of these games are available on other formats.
That was the exact reaction I had, Witcher I'll get on PC like I have the other two and MGSV will prob be a PS4 purchase for me down the line. Titanfall... Might get it, it looked okay, and as it's heading to PC, there's my answer.

As for the Sony ones, I liked the look of all the exclusives, the Driving game will be on PS plus day one as well, so I won't have to pay full price for it, as well as a few indie titles, so even if you just buy the system, you have 4 games right away if you go PS plus.

In terms of console exclusives I'd actually want, Playstation takes the cake.

Microsoft dropped the ball in a big way.

Ryse? Easily one of the worst received games I've seen unveiled in recent years. It opens with the lead character quoting a play that was written a thousand years past the Roman empire. It features a D-Day style landing, directly ripped from Saving Private Ryan. With a ridiculous focus on violence. And it's combat looks utterly, utterly boring.

Killer Instinct? The original wasn't all that good honestly, and it's being designed by a team known for bland mediocrity. And, frankly, it wasn't all that impressive visually considering fighting games are known for their stellar visuals.

Dead Rising 3? Welcome to Generic-Ville - Population: This game. Where's the trade mark insanity that actually made those games fun? Why is this the very definition of "Next Gen Brown"? And, to quote the Joker: why so serious?

Forza Motorsport 5? Looks like Forza Motorsport 4. That's not a bad thing - except this one is one the Xbox One, so it's automatically worse. And, frankly, Gran Turismo 6 looked just as impressive visually - and it's a fucking Playstation 3 game.

Everything else was multi-platform in some way - even Project Spark. Not exactly filling me with confidence, and this isn't the killer line up Microsoft needed to drive the need for their disaster of a console.

Compared to Killzone and Second Son? Microsoft are pretty much fucked.

There's not a single X-Box exclusive I'm looking forward to. Not one.

Sony had several. Including some juicy indie titles.

Honestly, I'm not impressed by either. The WiiU isn't great, but it still has more to get me excited than both the PS4 and Xbone combined, even if it has taken a year to get around to that. Still, if I had to pick, I would probably say Playstation 4. Games like Infamous: Second Son, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and The Witness are much more appealing than anything Microsoft has shown us so far.

Well Xbone had Killer Instinct so it wins the exclusives despite the fact it looks mediocre and is being developed by a company with a track record in poor games (double helix).
Let's not forget is free-to-play with only one character actually being free. Microsoft can't even get that much right.

The PS4 has Planetside 2 for $5 a month, not as good a deal as PC but destroys anything Msoft had to offer shooter wise.

Also, a lot of the Xbone exclusives from third parties are probably timed exclusives, like Microsoft did with GTA IV. Whilst it wasn't mentioned today I would expect Titanfall to appear on PS4 eventually, EA like money too much.

XBox One:

Halo: Is still off a good chunk of time. Anyway I liked Reach and Halo 4. I didn't really get into the first trilogy but after that was done Halo got a lot more interesting for me.

Quantum Break: It looks great visually and Remedy did a good job on Alan Wake.

Forza 5: I'm a sucker for good racing games. Silk smooth 60FPS, evolving AI using data from other drivers and great car models. What is there not to like? - Well I got one thing: Which steering wheel will be supported by the XO?

Titanfall: Looks like a great mix. Mechs, infantry, wall running, jet packs and semi open map design surly seems like fun.

Dead Rising 3: TBH I don't like the first two games. Simply put: Too wacky for me. But this one could get into after the interview at GT. The more serious approach lets people enjoy a dreadful zombie apocalypse while people could still get the wackiness if they wanted to. Seems like a win-win-situation.

PS4:

Destiny: Considering games like Defiance it seems not all that revolutionizing however the production values show. I could see myself enjoying playing some Hunter with a sniper rifle revolver combination or a Warlock with a assault rifle and submachine gun set up.

The Order 1886: Looks very interesting. I know that no gamplay was shown etc. but some sort of steam punk team based shooter just sounds appealing to me. It is an interesting setting at least.

That's apparently it for me.

So if I just go by the quantity the XO would be the console I would want to buy. However that's not really it. The PS4 has more potential to me than the XO e.g. it will surly feature a GT at some point, which I did not include in the list because GT6 is for PS3 and they haven't announced one yet, and long lost Last Guardian could reappear as a PS4 title. Naughty Dog did not reveal their PS4 game and I dig Uncharted and the Last of Us. Also at this price tag I'm sure the PS4 will sell much better than the XO and therefore jRPGs could this time around move much more towards the PS4.
Having similar architecture the multi-plattform games such as Watch_Dogs or The Division which impressed me will most likely look and run very much the same on both systems even more so then they already did on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
So yea I preordered a PS4 and wait till some issues with the XO are sorted out and maybe it got it first price cut.

I had a Xbox 360 for all my gaming needs and then a PS3 for the exclusives. I guess this time around I will have a PS4 for all my gaming needs and a XO for the exclusives...

I'm going to vote WiiU for X, The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2. Otherwise PS4 wins with FF15 since that is the only game in from both Sony and Microsoft that I'm interested in.

Now think about each consoles exclusives. Which console do you think has the best lineup of launch exclusives?

For me, the Xbox had the best. And that's why, for me, the Xbox One is worse than I originally thought. It is completely evil. Not wholly because of the restrictive DRM in the console but because it's holding those great games for ransom. Buying the Xbox One is like willingly going into an abusive relationship with someone because you can't resist how sexy they looked. I touched on this in the last thread I made.
PS4 has Killzone, so thats a major boost for me, plus Driveclub looks fun and Resistance will continue nicely. For the most part Xbox doesn't really have anything special, just the same sort of thing with a different name and style, yes I've played both sides (as I have both consoles in this generation) so Micrsoft isn't offering anything special. Most games after all will be multi platform. Unless there are some more exclusives than I realised? It is rather muddy atm as to what games are and aren't
