He goes for comedy instead of a fair review. Thus I am bored of his so called "reviews".
He himself has stated that he's a critic not a reviewer, and yes their is a difference

Ah but he still makes "reviews." Anyway I don't really mind him at the end of the day so don't go starting a flame war! xD

I think of Yahtzee less of a reviewer and more of a critic
This
And as such he is better when he's being critical.
I third that comment. Critic, not reviewer.
Here Here.

A critic is much more interesting than a reviewer. A reviewer is a living synopsis.

Yeah. I know. But they dropped URealms. I can't even tell you how pissed I was when that happened.
We just need to all buy the dvd so he can make more episodes.

OT:

Yeah, his reviews are a bit too skewed

Where is the don't care option on the poll? he has his own style of reviewing, you wanna change it? try making your own reviewing show.

Ok, so here's my thought, I've been watching Yahtzee for a long time now (every episode to be exact.) Now am I the only one who has noticed he seems more interested in ripping a game apart now.
And the reviews simply full of asskissing and sucking up to the producers/developers are better?

Sorry, I'd more believe a review that gives an accurate view of what the person sees in the game.

That and he's ripping on the game for comedic effect. He has stated a few times about liking a certain game, but then was flamed by his viewers because "It wasn't funny".

I use Yahtzee?s reviews to know what games I would like to play.
You really shouldn't. Yahtzee is horribly opinionated. He is not a reliable source for information about a game. Since his web series is more about comedy that's not really a problem. But you should never trust only his opinion on a game.

And no, Yahtzee should not be more positive. Him being so negative about a game is what makes it funny.
Pretty much this. Hit the nail right on the head, bravo.

I think Yahtzee is the best, I would love to meet him, even if he spends the entirety of the time pointing out my fatal flaws. However, you're right, he's spent more time bashing the living shit out of games, than congratulating them on their good parts recently. But, even so, I will still wait half a school-week to come home and sit in pure bliss for about 4.5 minutes as Yahtzee kills my favorite games.

I've been noticing an increase in people creating topics specifically to address Yahtzee personally.

The only thing more futile would be installing a turn signal on a submarine.
Agreed, especially considering Yathzee's very vocal feelings concerning "fans". If he cares so little for "fans" what is he going to care for critics or those who even have "constructive criticism" towards him? Absolutely nill, as it should be. Leave him to his style I say. If it works for him, great. If people stop watching him, oh well. He only has himself to blame.

Secondly, stop giving me ideas damnit, I already installed a screen door on mine, now I have to get some turn signals too. :sigh: What's next, a set of disc brakes?! HRM?! Damn you Goomba, damn you...

We should make a sub-forum dedicated to people posting suggestions to Yahtzee for how he should review games.

I like watching him destroy games. Even games that other reviewers deem "good". Why should there be another game critic who goes on and on about what is good about a game? I wanna know what is wrong w/ a game not what is good about it. If I'm interested in playing a game I will; No review of a game will influence me in anyway.

when he did Arkham Asylam, he said something along the lines of "you dont come to me to hear the good things in a good game."
that's EXACTLY what I'm talking about as being kinda sad. I don't want him to spew bile all the time... I wanna hear the good things.
well, its exactly what he said. if you wanna hear good things about a game, go read a gameinformer. or play the bloody game and experience the good things yourself.

I've come to trust his opinions on a game, and from where I'm standing, he usually ends up completely and utterly right, the only exception for me on this matter was Soul Calibur IV, a good I thought was good and still do, while Yahtzee doesn't.

I do take Yahtzee's criticisms seriously, even if they're hilarious in terms of their form. This is because I don't trust any reviewer to give me an accurate review... I always expect them to make bad games sound good, and good games sound bad. Yahtzee provides information to weigh this against. If reviewers are saying a game is TEH GREATEST THING EVAR!!11!1, I can count on Yahtzee, if he reviews it, to find at least few things about it that are shitty, and this is very useful information.

And they're not legitimate reviews, because Yahtzee is not a legitimate reviewer. He has to much personal bias in his reviews for them to be credible.
Too much personal bias? Really?

All journos have a personal bias (including whomever you consider to be a legit reviewer) as you cannot separate yourself from your experiences and review games or anything else in a bubble, I hate to inform you.

Some are just more critical then others, and the overwhelming majority of them are usually positive no matter what the case may be, at least as far as game journalism goes.
