I'm afraid I'm gonna have to disagree with you. She's no more a character than one of the random extra in any given movie. The most she's ever contributed to the plot of an episode is when she dropped a bunch of stuff on Twilight.

So named extras aren't characters? They may not have much to do but they're not really considered props. Unless you're just heartless. You monster.

But the thing is, no character has ever referred to her by name. She was given that moniker by the internet.

Actually her name might be ditzy doo. Rainbow and another pony are talking about how she flew west to get the birs who flew south during winter wrap up.

I appear to be aware of that. In all fairness she was named by the fans before her actual name was revealed, and even then it's only really inferred that Ditzy Doo is in fact Derpy Hooves since we never see who's being named there.

Twilight. I thought at first I liked her because she was the main character and I was "supposed" to like her.
But the more I watch the more I realize that I like her because she's like me. A bookish borderline nerd.
