Is this the second or third Pony thread today? I've lost count.
Anyways, I'd like to point out a small nugget of logic that the pony haters here seem to have overlooked.
They hate that multiple "Why is MLP popular" threads pop up every day, right? Well, then why are they hating on the ponies? That's like hating a bullet because somemone got shot.
Really, it's the fault of the topic CREATORS, not the topic itself. This is a case of people needing to learn how to use the damn search bar.
Another, pony, thread... I love the show, but, just...
I already posted that once today, the fact I have to again, for the same reason, scares me.

It's a toss-up between Twilight and Rainbow Dash. I suppose my avatar is pushing me towards RD. That Sonic Rainboom was just too awesome
Then its Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Rarity rounding out the rest.

Yeah, this pony stuff will go the same way. The internet latches onto stuff, sucks out every morsel of uniqueness it may have and leaves the dessicated corpse behind to rot in the sun as soon as something new comes along.

I tried to watch MLP and I really wanted to like it (because everyone else seemed to, so I figured I must have been missing SOMETHING) but I didn't really see what everyone else seemed to love so much. I know of all the comparisons and the roots of the show, but really it is no Powerpuff Girls.
I never really liked Foster's either, so maybe I just wasn't destined to like this show. Ah well.
I wonder what the next 4chan fad will be?

OK. I don't watch TV, so I missed the whole MLP reboot. But that hiccuping pink pony gif gave me a giggle fit. Must youtube.
Part of it is the quality of the show as many have said it's got good animation and solid voice acting. The creator tried to make sure that it wouldn't just be some mindless drivel that's suppose to entertain young girls. I find that the shear possibility for humor of it makes it damn interesting, even if you're just focused on the images. I guess the cuteness factor could also have something to do with the popularity.Naheal said:
