I would have killed off Zaeed, in all honesty. I didn't see the point of that character. He was just this pissed off guy that wanted to kill another guy who betrayed him and would do anything - including killing lots of innocent people - to do that. And if you didn't help him kill innocent people, well then you could just fuck off. (Unless you had a high enough Paragon/Renegade score, of course).

He was just a douche, a badass douche, sure, but still a douche. I really felt nothing for that character and I enjoyed watching an iron bar fall on his stupid leg.

Because Zaeed wasn't on the list I would have gotten rid of Jacob. He has absolutely no character at all, he was so bland. Miranda and Jack may have been annoying but at least they had estabalished characters and motives.

Jacob, beside the start and his loyalty mission I never used him.

Dull as sin character.

It's a tie between the Cerberus jockeys. I was peeved with Miranda the entire game. I don't give a rat's ass how 'perfect' she is or how 'horrible' it is to BE perfect.

And Jacob? The whole "cuttle-bone" thing pissed me the hell off. No one talks about my Garrus like that. No one. But then he won me over a little with his loyalty mission. I genuinely felt bad for the guy. Even respected his reaction to the whole thing.

So...I'm going to have to go with Miranda. 'Cause I already nuked Kaiden.

Samara. I guess it just didn't click. Thane wasn't one of my faves either but I stil like him as a character better than Samara. All the others are ok with me.

I personally found Samara to be the least interesting. Had fun with her side quest, but her character is just so dull. I'm pretty sure she did die in at least one of my playthroughs and I won't miss her when I carry that one on in ME3.
Agreed. I don't hate her per-se, I just like her the least

Having another person mindlessly calling out "Jack" is a tad redundant, so I'll rate them in order. Those I actually *want* dead at the top, those I really, really *don't* want dead at the bottom. ME1 peeps included.

Jack - Didn't even want to recruit her, and was all too glad when she died. She's a great character, admittedly, but I can't stand her.
Ashley - Xenophobic *****! Funnily enough, I did actually get an opportunity to make my dreams come true, here.
Jacob - I kind of liked him, but he was just a stock straight guy, and shallowly characterised.
Samara - Same as Jacob. Straight, not really believable for me, and too cold; a crappy replacement for Liara.
Grunt - Crappy replacement of Wrex. No real character, although it is kind of fun having an bloodthirsty walking tank aboard the ship, I'll give him that.

Don't want people dead past this line.
Kaidan - He reminds me a lot of Carth, especially in that he just does not shut up. Ever. Still, I guess I kind of liked him, although not as much as the KoTOR character that he's based on.
Thane - Kind of cool - actually, really cool, but I had to start making some tough choices here.
Miranda - I like her, and her story, even if she's whiny about her perfection, and sees her commander as the perfect person to lay her daddy issues on. I even tried a romance with her, before I fell for Tali (again. On my fourth playthrough. Fourth consecutive Tali playthrough.)
Garrus - Pretty cool guy, and he had some interesting development in ME1, but if I ever hear the word 'calibrations' again, I might just cry.
Mordin - Awesome mad scientist, and he sings!
Wrex - I never really liked Canderous in ToR, but Wrex was always a key part of my ME1 squad, and he does have a couple of interesting conversations with Shepard.
Legion - All round awesome. I loved the idea of having a Geth onboard, and his different perspective - and contextual dialogue - were both brilliant.
Tali/Liara - Simply can't decide here. I think I'd finally decided to let Liara go until I played LotSB, but now, once more I'm fucked if I know what to do, especially considering that things are going to get a tad awkward in ME3.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think of my list, and how you would change it.

Lots of people condemning Miranda, but from a purely gameplay standpoint good luck if you want to play Insanity without her. On those grounds I must say 'auf weidersehen Jacob!'

Mordin, because he's just flat out annoying. I could probably do without Tali as well, because I played renegade and she came off as moralizing and naggy.

Jack. She was a useless tit.

Seriously, her powers weren't that great, she was not blessed with a lot of health and her weapons were useless.

Generally speaking, she needs to be the one that dies.

Tali, never really liked or cared for her. Sort of thought she was annoying. Jack would also be on the list because I find her attempts at looking like a badass obnoxious rather than intimidating or awesome.

I didn't hate any of them, but if I had to choose, I'd choose Jacob. I found him pretty boring.

Jacob has got to go... but really throwing him out the airlock would be such a waste!

Not so long ago, in our very own galaxy...
on the collector base
Shepard: "Jacob, I have a special mission for you..."
Jacob: "Yessir"
Shepard: "Hold this and wait here for further orders" Gives a large crate to Jacob, and then leaves

Shepard over the comms: "Jacob, I need you to go to way point echo, the rest of the team and I will provide a distraction"
Jacob over the comms: "Yessir"
Sometime later
Shepard over the comms: "Jacob open the crate and press the red button"
Jacob over the comms: "Yessir"
10 seconds later the collector base explodes

Later on the Normandy SR2
Illusive man: "I'm impressed shepard, you managed to destroy the entire collector base with only a single casualty. I knew you were the right choice for this mission"
Shepard: "It was easy, I just had to find out where the reactor core was and then set off an explosion right on top of it"
