Or you know... take it or throw it out.
Nice. :p

I'd call the police and not touch it.

i'd just safely assume it was a message from a higher being for me to go "stir-fry crazy" in my local community... Either that or keep it in my room (as far away from my brother as possible) for self defence

This. Only I don't have enough. Not YET.

I really hate guns, there is just no good reason for someone to have one.
Please stick to the subject at hand, there is no need for this to turn into a debate.

Remove the bullets, keep them somewhere separate, keep the gun as a weird souvenir. Unless someone posts a 'lost gun, answers to Sasha' poster, in which case I'll contact them to return it

I don't pick stuff up that lay on the road.

I'd most likely think it was a toy-gun

Seems like you're trying to start a depate here.

Me though, keep it. Never know when you may need an unmarked firearm.

See if there is a "guns for cash" program running anywhere nearby, go there and trade it in.

Hand it in to the police. Regardless of my feelings about guns, I'm pretty sure that taking a loaded gun off of the street and keeping it is probably highly illegals and I'm doubting the police are going to be messing around when it comes to firearms.

Guns in the UK are a strict liability. Even if I took it straight to a police station and handed it in, I would be arrested and likely charged for carrying a firearm. So no, I wouldn't touch the damn thing.
However if you phoned the police and informed them of the location of the gun, you'd be in no trouble and the police would probably thank you. Or even if you took the gun home and phoned the police, they couldn't arrest you for carrying a firearm.

The most probable reason for a gun to be on the side of the road is if it was used in some kind of crime and the user tossed it afterward to get rid of the evidence. In that case it's a REALLY bad idea to keep it, touch it, or in any way be associated with it.

Keep on walkin'.
If I call the police, I'll have to be involved with it. I don't like getting involved with things.

I'm assuming someone else will turn it in anyway. Or someone will pick it up as I walk away and shoot me...
Guess I'd just have to regret it later.

Call my buddy who's in the Police Academy training to be a cop and ask him what I should do with it.

Then do that.

Considering that a gun is uncommon in the UK I would contact the police (preferable my uncle who is a police officer) and I wouldn't be stupid enough to pick it up unless I am wearing my gloves.
