Hidden Blade from Assassin's Creed 2 would be last on my list, because I've already made one. I've already done my first prototype for it, meaning that next step is just prettying it up. It's actually pretty cool.

I've got some drafts for the needle, but the gun's a bit over the top for me. And I don't think I have the proper tools to make the barrel.

Oddly enough, it does actually take some tinkering to stop the blade from slicing your ring finger off when it comes out, so I think I've got the right design... if that's a good thing.

How is the blade unsheathed, spring-loaded? Is there anyway you could link to a picture? That is just awesome.

Come on, it's a miniature factory riding on your hand, pretty much hidden until you activate the holographic interface.

Given time, you might be able to construct anything with it, provided it can be assembled from small parts.

The blade is essentially along a track inside the whole device. When you press a button, it releases a lever that normally is stuck into a little notch at the bottom of the blade, and the blade is free to slide out. That means that it naturally comes out as long as your arm is pointing downwards, but it can also come out by using centrifugal force or inertia to push the blade out from the casing.
Only problem with that is you don't get the same type of effect when the blade slides back in, but you can just slide it in with your hand, raise your hand up, or jerk your hand in. Not perfect, but pretty awesome and 100% illegal.

I'd want the portal device so that I could create an infinite fall in my school. I can see myself doing that in the middle of class it would be so much fun.

Dagger would be the most Practical.
I'd say the Portal Gun, because that'd make traveling so much fun and would be super awesome, but that thing is hazardous! Remember kids, the device has not been proven to be completely safe. Do not touch the operational end of the device. Do not look directly at the operational end of the device. Do not submerge the device in liquid, even partially. Most importantly, under no circumstances should you-- bzzzzzt~


I don't know how to parachute (I'd need the dagger a couple of times if I tried the Grapple hook/parachute combo) and the Gravity Gun would be cool for the first couple days and then be put a side as a gardening tool or to rearrange furniture.

Though the hidden assassin blade would be great. Almost no need for eating utensils. (Unless it's for soup)

Ocarina of Time would be nice... I could repair objects, change the weather, warp, call horses... Then again The endless bag of coins from Wario Land:Shake it would be nifty, it not economy ruining.

So many possibilities...

I'll have to go with Dagger... so long as I can get away with carrying a concealed blade longer then my hand around without getting weird looks.

In fact, let's combine Ezio's blade and the Dagger. It's concealed, can send you back in time, and you'll always have something to eat with.

Though I really do want that Portal Gun.

I'd go with the grappling claw and parachute, but only if it comes with Rico's ability to defy physics in the games.

I'd have to go with the supercharged gravity gun. I mean, IT DISSOLVES EVERYTHING!!
For everyone who voted for the Portal gun you might want to remember that it doesn't work on any surfaces that aren't perfectly smooth. So it would be a pain to try to use in real life with all kinds of irregular surfaces.

I actually made a plan one day of what I would do if I hate a portal gun. I'd put one in my hat, and put the other one on a table covered with stuff I'd need. It would be like having a huge backpack conveniently in your hat.

I discounted the dagger because it's not a gadget its magical, otherwise yes, I would want that, but otherwise I would so have the portal gun.
