The money. Even assuming you could somehow find and acquire your very own TARDIS, i doubt any of us have the ingenuity to escape the plethora of crazy situations that the Doctor finds himself in.
would it be any worse than the crap we have to deal with right now?

Since I'm royalty I have no need for currency, so the TARDIS key. I do not have tome travel powers, yet.

TARDIS key.

The chance for ultimate power surpasses petty materialism.
Greed is still greed. Me thinks.

Well, seeing that I have no interest in traveling through time (with the sole exception of going back and killing Hitler while he was still a private)
No WWII, no Cold War. No Cold War, no MILnet or ARPAnet.

No internet.

Plus, there a trope about killing Hitler. He will replaced by someone even worse or you just launch the world into a worse catastrophe.

I'd take the money, put it in the bank, live off the monthly interest

I've put the numbers in on my calculator and it makes a smiley face

Money is used to buy adventure, or rather pay for adventure, however a Tardis key would make for an eternity's worth of adventure no matter how long you were with The Doctor.

The Key, the Key! I'd even ignore the money I could get from time traveling, if only I could get my own TARDIS.

Timelords are immortal, right? They also have the power to travel through space and time. So, theoretically, shouldn't the entire universe just be filled with billions and billions of Timelords at any one time?

The chance of meeting one would be pretty high, if not infinitely high. Then again, you don't really see that in the show from what I understand (I've not watched all that much of it). But then, if you're playing by the rules of the TV show, there is a 100% chance that coincidences would conspire to meet you with the doctor anyway, and assuming you're a good guy, you're unlikely to come out the situation harmed.

So yeah, I'd go with the key. Seems like a better deal no matter how the situation unfolds, and there's only so much you can do with £1,000,000 before you'd get bored of it.
Nerd time!

Time Lords aren't technically immortal, they just have very long life spans due to having thirteen lives with bodies that can live for centuries. Time Lords were an elite among the standard population of Gallifrey (though there'd still be thousands of them) and the Time Lords have a "none interference" policy on the rest of the universe, barring things that could fuck up time itself. The Doctor is a renegade.
Nerd correction time!

Regenerations, as you call those "bodies", can be gained or lost in various ways. Gained as reward (though since the last Time War, not sure if it's still possible), or you can use all remaining resurrections to revive one person (at least a Time Lord, but probably would work on any race). They can also be lost as a punishment, but again, not certain anymore.

The key.

Even if I never find a TARDIS, the key itself could be useful. If I remember correctly, the Doctor broke his key into pieces and hung them around the necks of his companions, which apparently made them sorta invisible. I would take what is essentially a super power over money any day.

The money! Then I can move TimeLord down here and get our own house >.< And that's worth ten billion TARDIS keys ;D /soppy. [sub]But why would you need more than one...?[/sub]
D'awwwwwww :)

OT: The correct answer is a TARDIS key. Use TARDIS to make money and travel through time. Why is this even a question? :p
People keep saying that...but he said you didn't get a TARDIS
Ah but with the key I'd just run around the world until I found every 1960's Police Box and try the lock in all of them!

Or just hang around Cardiff....

Gotta go with the money (in dollar form, I'm American) I just don't like Doctor Who. It's actually the cheesiest show I've ever seen.

I'll take the cash. Why? Well its pretty simple really.

Assuming that Doctor Who and his TARDIS exist, then having a key to it, or any other TARDIS would mean that i'd eventually end up meeting this mentally addled man.

People who spend any time with the doctor usually end up having a bad day or two at best. Not the "Things went slightly wrong" bad but instead the "Oh shit that alien wants to tentacle rape me" kind of bad.

I don't like that kind of bad.

So instead i'll take the money. As long as i don't let on that i'm fucking rich i'll be completely fine. Who would expect a working-class university student to have any money anyway?

I would snag the TARDIS key. I am far too much of a fan to pass it up, even though male companions tend to have bad things happen to them.

TARDIS key has a link to the actual TARDIS, there is a chance you could activate that link and get the TARDIS to come to you. I pick the key.
