Charon + T-51b Power Armour = You don't fuck with him.

(I spell "Armour" with a "U" for British reasons.)

i feel bad if my follower dies, so until broken steel comes out for the PS3 and i can get that perk that brings dog meat back to life, no followers for me

I use Fawkes for serious missions when I need real back up. I prefer Charan though because he isn't effected by Karma, you can give him good armor and weapons unlike Fawkes, and he is good for stealth.
Everyone else I don't really use. Dogmeat gets in the way and dies for me, Jericho isn't as good as Charon, RL-3 is only for neutral karma which doesn't work for me, I killed Butch and the hooker, and Star Paladin Cross' speach sounds to high and mighty to me.

I had Charon for quite a while on one of my files and he was a big help, always lending a helping hand or insightful comment, and carrying loots, but he died from multiple missile strikes outside of Wheaton Armory, and I was too lazy to reload a save.

Dogmeat is a fucking tank, though. It's insane how much damage that mutt can take, even on Very High difficulty.

And, yeah, I have Dogmeat and Charon. Charon's walking around in a T-51b Power Armor, of course, and I really have to remember to unload all the stuffy he's carrying around next time I'm in Megaton...

None. Followers are just idiots who blow your cover while you're sniping mutants from Stealth.

I dont like having a partner. They steal my kills and give away my position. I like to sneak around in the shadows and its hard to do that when Fawkes is following you creating all the noise he possibly can.

I assembled a personal army (through glitches) of Fawkes, Dogmeat, Star Paladin Cross and RL-3. Sticky from little lamplight is an epic follower as long as you don't mind not going back to big town, just tell him lets go, throw some power armor on him give him weps and stimpacks and he will do just fine.

Very hard difficulty was not a problem.

Fawkes because if I"m sneaking around, he'll take all the attention of me so I can still get a sneak attack critical.

Plus, he has a infinite ammo on that Gatling laser.

Dogmeat is a veritable fucking tank once you download Broken Steel: He took a Fat Man WHILE fighting the GNR behemoth with no damage afterward.

And i usually get Charon, because he's neutral and free.

I don't need a follower.

I kill almost everything before reloading my weapon and I modified my carry capacity(1 strength is 65000 weight)

Fawkes for heavy duty missions, Star Paladin for when I need a missile launcher/flamer support. And dogmeat.
