Faramir is probably my number one favorite. But Boromir is also undoubtedly badass, and Merry and Pippin were cool little dudes.
Such a shame that his story is so damn depressing. If we're going into Middle Earth completely instead of just LOTR, than I need to add Glaurrung, Anchalagon the Black, Ungoliant, Morgoth, the twins Elladan and Elrohir, the first Glorfindel, Radaghast the Brown, and Huin the Wolfhound.Vandenberg1 said:Hurin and his Children. No he wasn't, he was barely even a character. He was effectively just a 'dark force', an 'evil' lurking over there somewhere. That said, he did have a certain aura of menace which many of his contemporaries lack. He might be a standard Dark Lord, but he does it well.Flailing Escapist said:What, nobody else liked Sauron the most?
His character was surpisingly well delevoped for an evil, dark lord.
This is, however, very true. Rowling's flailing attempts at justification and character development still fall hopelessly short of Sauron's timeless malice.Much more appealing than Voldemort.
-.-

"But no living man am I! You look upon a woman. Éowyn I am, Éomund?s daughter. You stand between me and my lord and kin. Begone, if you be not deathless! For living or dark undead, I will smite you, if you touch him."
HELL YEAH.
