Poll: Your favorite "Diablo 2" class? (Expansion classes included)

Personally I have a fondness for the Amazon. I loved playing the Rogue in Diablo 1, and the Amazon really was just the Rogue 2.0.
I was fine with that.
I just happen to enjoy picking off enemies from a distance with a bow, legging it once they come within spitting-distance.
Good times.

Also like playing most classes tbh. But the Amazon is what I played the game through on. A few times.

I like the Paladin most. He's got good healing and evil slaying abilities.

My favourite was always blizzard sorcs. Absolutely the best for mfing and boss runs, no boss was cold immune and it did some massive damage. It was also one of the least item reliant classes, even with poor ass equips you could do well. Plenty of other builds and classes were complete garbage on hell unless you had absolutely amazing gear.

Love me some skellys. I pretty much maxed out summons and walked through places. Didn't do much pvp because of that. Skellys weren't that good against players.

It's a hard choice 'tween Thornalidins and SummWereDruids.

On the one hand, having Diablo deal his own killing blow on HIMSELF was fucking hilarious (Maxed out Thorns FTW).

On the other hand, having a massive swarm of beasties and then a random werewolf running all over the place mobbing mobs was also hilarious.

Good times.

Druid. Mostly summoning, but sometimes Werewolf. Hate his Elementals.

The first few times I played Paladin, but haven't managed to make a decent build in ages. Never really played Assassin. She and Barbarian are just not my style.

Necro is my second choice as summoner. Don't know why.
Sorc is alright. I rarely play Amazon, but I think she can be fun.

I played the first Diablo until my limbs were numb and my eyes were bleeding. it was just one of those games i could not get enough of.

Diablo 2 however, i could never get into and have never beaten. And i realize am in a small minority here. I felt it was just WAY too similar to the first one and as such, since the "magic" was already gone and it didn't seem like blizzard had introduced enough to keep me involved, i felt really let down by it.

i am hoping beyond hope that D3 lives up to expectations.

Assassin for me. It took quite a few tries to build one that "worked", but when I did it was effective as any other. Also the only class where I ever completed a decent set (That ONE set for the assassin actually) and was well equipped all around.

Half the game was about building the right stats, the other half was about finding the proper loot. I know for a fact that, were it not for my set, string of ears, amulet and runed bartuc's claw, I would have just been another scrub.

Assassin, when I discovered how awesome the trap tree was. I mean at first I figured it would be like most traps in videogames, in that you'd set them up, and no monsters would ever wander into them, then I discovered 'traps' was a euphemism for 'grenades'. So you basically got an AoE death machine that could actually still take names in melee combat. And she was styish to boot!
