You could download the ROMS, but this is ILLEGAL AND I DON'T RECOMMEND IT.

And if you do get the ROMS by simply searching on google. theres a good emulator called "visual boy advanced" that plays gb, gbc and gba games Its free and legal

Assuming you already own the originals, its generally considered ok to download them since you have already paid for them, but this isnt proper legal advice

I always thought Cyndaquil was the best starter ever. Cute, yet badass. And evolves into Tyhplosion. Whats not to love?

My favourite starter is mudkip, but I'd prefer to have totadile in the long run because Feraligatr used to be my favourite pokemon before ruby and sapphire.

Even thought a just rather throw my starters pokemon out of my team ASAP, as infernape, chimchar was the only pokemon that I kept in my team.

Wow I can never bring myself to take my starter out,I get to attached.

OT: There will always be a Totodile shaped hole that can be filled by most of the water starters but he fills it perfectly.

Totodile looks retarded but his evolutions are uber so I'll have to go with him. Also because he's water and water can learn 4 HMs by the time they reach ruby and sapphire versions.

The reason why Mudkip is awesome is because his evolved forms are Water and Ground type, giving 100% resistance to electricity.

My favourite starter was always Cyndaquil.

Squirtle is the best, I kept stopping it from evolving, I got it to about lvl 40 before finally letting it evolve.

I still regret that decision.

i only ever really played the first one, but bulbasaur fkn TORE UP the first two gyms and by the end of the game i was basically one-shotting everything with solar beam.

although i see that piplup appears to be a penkun. that's definitely worth some points.

Let's see, where to start....

Kanto: Charmander, but Yellow was the first Pokemon game I played, so Pikachu overrides Charmander.
Johto: Cyndiquil
Hoenn: Definitely Treeko. (Although I always pronounce it as Trek-o, not Tree-ko)
Sinnoh: Hands down Turtwig.
