Neither, Mark Hamil's Joker is in my opinion the embodiment of the Joker character.

Agreed....Mark Hamills joker was by far the closest thing your going to get to a good joker, but from the two i would say.....Nicholson i guess

Maybe I'm misinterpretting you, but I also loved Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker, I just firstly felt it wasn't really the Joker I knew. I've never seen Nicholson's Joker so I can't comment.

Neither: Hamill in the animated series or Arkham Asylum outplays both of them.

Of the two, I prefer Ledger though.
