I was just driving to work today when I had a muscle spasm. The reason was that I had just remembered that a very long time ago, a friend said his favourite Indiana Jones was Temple of Doom. I personally thought that was the silliest of the three movies (I'm aware there's four movies, but I haven't watched Kingdom of the Crystal Skull* yet).

I won't list the reasons why, (mainly cuz I'm in the office now and should be working) but I liked The Last Crusade the most of the three.

Which did you like?

*I understand that some don't even consider this a proper Indiana Jones movie, and so maintain that there's only THREE movies, not four.

As good as Raiders was, The Last Crusade is still my all time fav. Sean Connery and Harrison Ford were brilliant together.
I'd have to agree. They were simply a winning combination.

Raiders of the Lost Ark was excellent, but I liked the relative maturity of the series in The Last Crusade.

Raiders is a great movie and even though i love that one so much Temple of Doom is still my personal favorite. It just has more action in it and it was pretty scary.

Tearing out peoples hearts and sacrificing them? That shits freaky!

Crystal Skull was just a butchery of the series. Temple of Doom and Raiders were OK, but not amazing to me. Maybe its because it was my first one, but Last Crusade is one of my favorite movies, and by far the best in the series. Sean Connery and the father-son comedy was the biggest reason.

TLC was the best one. We got some Indy history, some Jones family action, and really, no annoying characters.

I loved The Last Crusade. Still watch it fairly often.

If anyone votes for the Crystal Abomination, I will find you.

"I'd rather spit in your face!...But I haven't got any spit."

Last Crusade wins hands down.

I'm also pleased to see that no one has cast a vote for the abomination.

Definitely the last crusade. Someone should shoot Lucas for Crystal Skull. I just felt so ripped off by it. But i guess the first three exonerate him. Damn.

The Last Crusade had everything you needed in a good film like the first two, but with a bit more substance.

Temple of Doom.

It has some of the worst parts of the series but for me, some of the best too.

Overall and technically Raiders is the best film. But we're talking favourites right?

Last Crusade is good but just has the weakest ending of them all. The whole ending looks like it takes place on a fairly cheap looking set.

The moment in Raiders of the Lost Ark that Indiana Jones was shot, beaten, thrown through the front windshield of the truck, clung to the grill as it fell out, tied himself to the truck, climbed back on and made his way into the cab where he then threw his attacker out of the same windshield he was tossed out of moments prior and then with a grin of wrath starts ramming the big bad's car ahead of him...I knew there would be no other.

So yeah. Definitely Raiders. I don't even acknowledge Crystal Skull.

I think ol' George Lucas made better films when he didn't have access to TOO MUCH technology. I suppose he thinks he can get away with sub-par plots if he puts in enough razzle and dazzle.

I had to go with Raiders, the classic. I mean, everyone remembers the first 15 minutes of that movie.

Raiders for sure, because when Indy pops out of nowhere with an RPG and threatens the convoy, I always laugh my ass of with the sheer ridiculousness of it. And it's sick when everybody's head a splode, too.

Harrison Ford shooting through three Nazi Stormtroopers with a single revolver shot and then looking at his gun with a funny face.

Also I'd like to point out the first film has Gimli.

ALl this talk is gonna make me go watch the trilogy. Maybe I'll finally give Crystal Skull a try. According to everyone, South Park was right.

Sadly, I only have the trilogy in VHS format, and I don't even have a VCR anymore.
