My rankings:

1. Last Crusade, no questions asked.
2. Followed very, very closely by Raiders of the Lost Ark.
3. Temple of Doom, minus the leading lady.
4. Crystal Skull.

Last Crusade all the way. The father son chemistry is way better than any of the 'love interest' chemistries.

... the father son chemistry did not work in CS

Why all the hate on the crystal skull? I found it very enjoyable, even if the whole nuking the fridge thing isn't actually possible.
...and I don't understand why it isn't possible... he's far enough away that the danger would be from being in direct line-of-sight of the radiation. The fridge prevents that. And if he's squished in enough (i.e. he's not bouncing around inside the fridge), he would possibly survive the collision with the Earth. He'll still get cancer and die, but he could have survived till the end of the movie.

I've probably seen Raiders of the Lost Ark about once a month since I was 12, it's easily my favorite movie of all time.

Last Crusade is a very close second though.

I also still really enjoy Temple of Doom, it's just not as good.

I'm largely up in the air about Kingdom... I mostly just wish it had been better and I can't get over the fact that Indy never shoots anyone in the entire film.

Crystal Skull, although not the best, was at least better than temple of doom.

IMO the order of greatness is this: Raiders, Last Crusade, Crystal Skull, Temple of Doom

Crystal skull, I haven't seen the others nor will I.
I seriously hope this is a joke...

Why only watch 1 out of 4 and then choose the only one that sucks? :S

I went to see it at the movies, it was good, I'm not spending money on the others.

Raiders forever! By far the best in the series. Last Crusade is a close second, but I feel they went a bit too much for comedy. Temple of Doom gets way too much hate, in my opinion. It's not as good as the other two, and yes, Short Round is irritating, but it's still far from bad overall.

Oh, and to those people who voted Kingdom of the Crystal Skull:

I'm watching you.

As good as Raiders was, The Last Crusade is still my all time fav. Sean Connery and Harrison Ford were brilliant together.
I totally agree. Two of my favorite actors together on screen was great.

Definitely Raiders. Temple of Doom was a little too weird for my liking (and it had Short Round). Last Crusade would have been good if they'd cast someone who could act as Henry Jones.

I haven't seen Crystal Skull, nor do I have any interest in doing so. I was briefly excited by the prospect of a new Indiana Jones film, until I heard about Shia LaBeouf's character. That ruined any hope of it being a decent movie as far as I was concerned.

I haven't seen it, so is the crystal skull really as bad as everyone says?
No Crystal skulls is not as bad as everyone says. It's actually worse. While watching that movie was like watching my childhood being beaten in a dark alley and then defecated upon.

I chose Last Crusade, mainly because I never really understood the U-boat scene in Raiders.
