I've been thinking about this for a while and i would like to see what people think on the subject.

My question is, Which kind of Zombie is the best one? (most scary, realistic, fun etc..)

Classic Zombies (George A. Romero style): Walking decomposing corpses lusting for human brains, very slow, very stupid, but they come in droves.

Rage Zombies ("Modern" zombies): Very fast and very agile, able to jump and think (atleast to some degree).

Sorry if this has already been done, i searched for Zombie threads and didnt find any on the 5 first pages so i figured i'd make this thread.

The only good zombie is a dead zombie. But no I can't really decide they both offer different styles, with the classic zombie playing the part of the slow death always, there always advancing never resting. While rage zombies are more of a ohholycrapitsgonnaeatmyface tense style they both have there place.

I'm old and can't run very fast, so I prefer slow zombies. The fast ones would catch me right away!

The kind that don't post a million topics about zombies.
Would you mind posting the millions of topics about which zombie type is the best?, cause i didnt find a single one when i searched prior to creating this thread.

And seeing as you say there are a shitload of them it should be easy to link them.

Oh, and thanks for the arrogance, really brightened up my day to see there are still idiots on the internet.

I like the middle ground in zombie terms. I prefer shambling and decomposing, but moving just fast enough and coming in large enough quantities that they present a problem only when you run out of bullets/ dont have your wit about you/ lean against a thin door for a snooze. Also, for me zombies are kept alive by forces unknown and it shoul take an awful lot to kill one, indeed the aim shouldn't be to kill them but to just stop their advance, due to their ability to survive everything. Makes 'em scarier, and funner to shoot at.

Slow ones. Far more scary in my opinion in numbers.

The 'Rage' ones just seem more liked a group of pissed off people trying to nibble me.

I prefer the fast, modern kind, because in a real life zombie apocalypse that's what we would have. You won't have the walking dead like George A. Romero's style, you will have people infected with some sort of virus (Resident Evil/28 Days Later style). However, I have to say my favourite kind of zombie is one that is subsequently staring down the barrels of my twin pistols and a shotgun, and being sighted from 400m away with a sniper rifle, in the reverse order. Then slashed into pieces with my twin swords ;)

id fall into the Other Category: a zombie needs to be...special "Holy shit did that zombie just puke on you?" or, "holy shit did that zombie just grab phil with his tongue and pull him into a fire?" cool stuff like that.
