Which Star Wars is your favourite? And no, I'm not talking about all the rip-offs and secondary time periods, I'm talking about the six feature length films. Mine would probably be A New Hope.
When I reached the end of Return of the Jedi for the first time and suddenly saw Hayden Christen appear out of nowhere claiming to be Luke's father, I couldn't stop screaming at the television for about an hour or so. And that was after experiencing all of those new CGI cut-scenes of the celebrations around the universe. >_< Paying £17 for a boxset of the untouched originals on DVD was the best thing to happen to me this Christmas. As long as it is not the Special Edition version. I refuse to watch that garbage.
Sorry about that, but I am in my late twenties and grew up loving the originals. When I saw Han talking with Jabba in the Star Wars Special Edition a part of my childhood disappeared.
I am very sad to hear what you went though. I stopped watching the Special Editions after seeing the original. I couldn't imagine what I would have done had I seen Hayden Christiansen standing there will Yoda and Obi Wan. Actually I do, it would have been the same as your's. I have the untouched originals as well and they are brilliantBlitzwarp said:When I reached the end of Return of the Jedi for the first time and suddenly saw Hayden Christen appear out of nowhere claiming to be Luke's father, I couldn't stop screaming at the television for about an hour or so.
