Super Smash Bros. is probably my favourite fighting game. I don't care what Yahtzee says; it's an awesome game.

Toss-up between Tekken and Soul Calibur. I'll go with Tekken, because it's more fun for me and the storyline isn't so fucked up.

BlazBlue is cool too, but it gets stale after a while, and the story mode is way too expansive. Even the losing cutscenes are part of the completion percentage. What the hell?

Soul Calibur. Although IV sucked in comparison to II, it was still fun, and the weapon on weapon combat is a blast. Make the training stage more accessible, tone down ring-outs, remove skills, and remove stats from clothing (As well as bringing back Team Battle), and it would be much, MUCH better.

Jojo on the PSP!? aw it's japan only....and I hate trying to navigate through menus I don't know how to read, might just emulate it then.
MAME is exclent for emulating things like that.
Though iv heard that the PsP JoJo its not that confusing to read, especially if you know the story.
And the Extra Characters are supposed to be worth it.
You don't need long ass combos in GG really, if anything it's a double edged sword to pull off long combos. Damage scaling makes it so long combos don't give much of a significant damage increase compared to the shorter more damaging ones, BUT they allow you to built up tension quick. The plus side to that is if you're good enough, you can rapid cancel and reset the damage per say. But I hardly have bother with combos that exceed 10 hits because after that it just seems negligible.
Yea, its still fun to pull long combos off though.
My biggest problem is memorizing button inputs though.
In GG many of the specials and supers require multiple movements of the Analogue stick and button presses.
My memory is just not that good, especially if im trying to learn more than one character.
That's why i love VS fighters more than GG, they have simple controls and imputs that still let me be skillful if i want.

I love Baiken because counter based fighters are fucking deadly if you get them down right, hence why some of my favorite fighters are Baiken, Hakumen (his counters are a little tough) and EX Death (the king of counters). She can fuck up opponents if you use her coutner seals right.
Hell yes.
Characters that have good Counter moves are always a favorite of mine.
I need to get BB so i can learn Haku-men better.
Just watching other people play him well makes my mouth water.
And i like Baiken's deceptive reach and multihit attacks the most.
Her speed is also a big plus, especially with her Attack power.

As much as I love Street Fighter and Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, Tekken is and has always been the best to me.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure:Heritage for the Future
Do you have that game? If so, what version is it?
No, sadly i don't have it.
The original version is on the Dreamcast, and you can get the Arcade Update Heritage for the Future on MAME.
But there is a PsP version that's supposed to kickass.
I want it so bad.

I play as Dio, Jotaro, Joseph, and Polnareff btw.
I like to mess around with Iggy, Chaka, Mariah, and Hol.

Oh I don't give much of a shit about story mode, I play fighting games for the FIGHTING; story is just an added bonus.

Funny enough I have little trouble memorizing a characters move set after spending a good few hours playing them. It just becomes second nature and the true challenge just comes from finding the proper combo strings and knowing what to use and when. I learned most of my played characters in a day, and from there on it was just a matter of practice over continuous play.

EX Death from Dissidia is still the best and my favorite counter based character, he's a total fucking beast. He's sooo hard to use but the pros are pretty much walking brick walls with him and I consider myself a damn good EX Death player.

Just an example of how deadly he is while I was just playing a random match against the CPU (highest difficulty). I've had better matches that show him off better but I don't have em uploaded or anything. This is a relatively simple fight with him, and i don't use summons or some of the buffs like EXP> BRV anymore more unless it's Duel Colosseum. That vid is when I was in my more early intermediate stages of play, I fuck shit up without buffs and summons these days.

Soul Calibur all the way. Mortal Kombat has a few too many cheap tricks for my taste (or at least Armageddon did), I don't like how most people in Tekken are just punch/kick people without weapons and I haven't really played much else besides that. I tried Virtua Fighter and freaking hated it, but that's about it.

That said, Soul Calibur 4 can go fuck itself with a claw hammer. I wish they had stopped at 3 rather than release that monstrosity. 3 had everything. 2 different campaign modes (both of which were fun and had a good story), a fantastic arcade mode, a character-creation system that WASN'T just re-skinning existing characters (plus if you really wanted to re-skin characters with the creation system you could, it's just that they had their own styles too), a lot more characters, and there was no micromanagement of equipment going on. You picked what weapon you liked and that was that. The clothes and other crap did nothing and was just for show. Like TF2 hats. Then SC4 comes and says "Fuck all that! Who cares about having a good game when they can have Darth Vader or Yoda!?"

I care, SC4. I care. I don't want campaign modes that are 3 seconds long with literally zero story. I don't want arcade mode to be the same damn thing, or the optional fight-till-you-drop mode. Yoda is broken and Vader sucks, and neither of them belong in the pretty cool universe you created. If SC5 ever comes, I want a return to what 3 gave us, and I hope that fans of the series do, too.

For the TLDR crowd: Soul Calibur 3 was a fantastic game by just about any standard and Soul Calibur 4 will most likely be in the hospital with a torn sphincter due to claw-hammer-fucking.

Mortal Kombat was the first fighting game I played so I have always stuck with that as my choice.

Soul Calibur 2 is by far my favourite fighting game.

Could never really get into any of the other Soul Calibur games after that one... I tried, but they just didn't do it for me.

Nightmare is awesome.

Virtua Fighter 3 Team Battle (Arcade) was so great. So was Soul Calibur (Dreamcast). But so was StreetFighter Alpha 2, StreetFighter 3rd Strike, and StreetFighter 2 (all Arcade) - so I have to say HA-DOOOO-KEN!

Nice.
It just takes a lot of practice for me.
Something i don't get much of as GG isn't a game id be willing to play in front of my parents....
I do have Johnny pretty much down but i still haft to refresh my memory with his move list when i play as him.

Oh man that looks AWESOME.
Iv always liked Squall but......EX-Death looks like a blast to play as.
I must get this game.
EX-Death is a boss from which FF game btw?

And iv got some TvC vids if your interested.
Most were take with a Web cam so they don't look that good but iv got more to upload now that i have a capture card.

Arcana Heart is my fighting game, so other.

Not that I won't get in a good game of Smash Brothers, Guilty Gear, Soul Calibur (2), Melty Blood, Fate/Unlimited Codes, Tekken (5: Dark Resurrection), Capcom vs. SNK 2, Street Fighter 3, Blazblue, or...oh hell, I'll play almost any except Street Fighter 2 or 4. And I can make exceptions for those. Fighting games are one of my genres.

I love that image.

Sad to say, I don't fit the AH image.

*glances around room*

...'course, with all the figurines, I easily fit the Melty Blood one.

Where is the Dragonball Z option? Those fighting games are 100,000,000 times better than any fighting game confined to the ground.

So, does liking King Of Fighters make me a bandito, a Mexican, or both?

Well, KOF, Guilty Gear, or BlazBlue.
