Poll: Your Game of the Year so far

Well I cant really pick one but ill say the top five

LA Noire: For being a great experience that made you think. It was one of the games that I honestly loved every single minute of it.
LBP2: For bringing a joy that I hadn't experienced since I was younger. Those hours I spent with my friend building things like a shark spinning around with disco lights on it were some of the best of this year.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution: For offering the best story of the year and the best (to me) actual gameplay.
Mortal Kombat: For giving me the brutal satisfaction of performing a fatality on one of my friends.
Portal 2: Well, its 11 hours with the portal gun. No other shooter can beat that. Also the co op was amazing.

What in god's name is Brink doing up there in placo of DE:HR?

Took the words right out of my mouth! Brink up there? Blasphemy!
Personally for me Batman:AC. But I tink Skyrim will overtake that come 11th November.

I third this, Brink had a mediocre reception at best.

OT: pretty much the only game i've played from this year is Portal 2 (got machine less then a year ago, have yet to finish oblivion, SC2, 1st Witcher ect. Yeah I need to catch up instead of playing TF2.

I've only played Dragon Age 2 and inFamous 2 from this year.

Winner: Dragon Age 2.

I'll be getting Uncharted 3, Arkham City, Zelda Skyward Sword and Skyrim by years end though...so that's probably going to change. My personal GOTY will likely be Zelda given my history of loving those games. Can't wait!

I'd have to say Deus Ex: Human Revolutions. Pokemon was a bit 'ehhhhhhhh' this year, and Portal 2 was completed in less than a day. Granted I haven't gotten my hands on Arkham City yet, but that's on my Christmas list.

Dark Souls, Deus Ex and Witcher 2 are my favourites up till now, but there are still Final Fantasy Type-0, FF:XIII-2 and Skyrim this year.

I've already pitched in, but I just wanted to add my voice to the choir singing: "Brink? Really?!"

That game only deserves to win, thus far, my Biggest Letdown of the Year and Fastest Returned Game awards.

Why is Brink an option? Seriously that has got to be one of the worst games of this console generation, forget year.

OT so far Dark Souls, but I think Skyrim will take it out.
For multiplayer, Gears of War 3 has mine seeing as I'm not a COD fan and I've so far gotten no enjoyment out of BF3.

Portal 2 so far.

Gears of War's story let it down massively for very obvious reasons.
Dead Island isn't polished enough, very rough around the edges.
Saints Row the Third isn't out yet, though it's looking good to knock Portal 2 off the top spot, but we'll see, my allegiance is still with Valve .
Star Wars: The Old Republic also isn't out so I cannot comment, though it also looks like a massive contender for my GOTY.

But yeah, so far, Portal 2 is on the podium, let's see if it can last eh?

So far, most of them are good choices, but my vote's going to Arkham City just because of how much further it's risen the bar for superhero games. However, we still have Assassin's Creed and Skyrim coming out, so those are two pretty hefty contenders, as well.

Portal 2. The ending to the single player was satisfying and hilarious, Wheatley is my favourite video game character ever, and Want You Gone was a great song that I believe lived up to Still Alive. The co-op was amazing, as was the ending to the Peer Review DLC.

Batman Arkham City is a close second, then followed by either Dead Space 2 or Gears of War 3.

This could change on November 11th though...

I was very impressed with Portal 2 and The Witcher 2. I'm curious what results the poll would get if The Witcher 2 and Deus Ex 3 were included.
