Mass effect 2, haven't played fallout nv yet, but I doubt anything can unseat mass effect 2 from my favourite game slot... untill mass effect 3 or dragon age 2 that is.

Either Civ 5 or Mass Effect 2. New Vegas is just too bug ridden and Halo, while probably a fun game, is too old hat and has very little innovation to be handed the GOTY award.

Red Dead Redemption is going to have to be my choice, but we still have to see what Assassin's Creed Brotherhood will be like. Out of all the ones on the list Enslaved is that only one I care about.

It was Bayonetta, without a hitch.

And Vanquish just came and matched it.

I don't know anymore.

But it's definitely none of these serious games like Mass Effect or Red Dead.

Last year was Borderlands, though...So, if Borderlands: GOTY edition counts, count that instead.

But right behind it would be Red Dead Redemption

Yeah! It's totally made of awesome, but I think Red Dead was still better. Enslaved is definitely my number two, at least for now.

Civ V springs to mind, ah, how I do love it.
Not a big fan of ME2, so I shall not vote for that, but it does get alot of support.
Hrm....probably forgetting something here, but I shall stick with Civ V.

MGS: Peace Walker. Not the best MGS, but it had some really moving moments in the story and rock solid gameplay with tonnes of extra missions to fill the hours.

How about StarCraft II ?? It's already flung out tens of thousands of dollars in prize money for tournaments, it's already got tons, and tons of sponsored players, you've got people moving across the globe to play in tournaments...

And it's like 2 months old (not counting beta)..

How did that game not make it to "your" top 7?

Minecraft would come on a good second for me..

Despite harsh competition from both Reach and New Vegas, in the end, Mass Effect 2 still takes my vote. No other game released this year has wowed me quite like BioWare's epic; it was like going back in time and playing KotOR for the first time again.
