I played for about 4 hours with very few breaks once. It was Friday after school, and I'd just gotten Dynasty Tactics 2. Those were the days...I'd do it again in a heartbeat if they made a sequel!

clocked out at 25 hours, NEVER EVER AGAIN. i started to see things at the edges of my vision.
That does happen...

I went just over 24 hours. I'm thinking it was about 10 years ago when I was in my early 20s... Rx stimulants (prescribed) and caffeine went a long way... Was a combination of Counter Strike (when it was still a beta mod) and Diablo 2.

I completed the original Silent Hill from start to finish, from around 8:00 P.M. to about 5:30 A.M.
I managed to do that with the best ending and only 2 deaths on Normal difficulty.
And it was my first (full) playthrough. I had played ALL THE WAY through a week or so earlier, but I forgot to pick up the freaking hunting rifle, and I didn't have enough ammo in my shotgun and pistol combined to defeat the final boss, rendering the game unwinnable.

I imagine it's somewhere in the 8-12 hour margin, which would be my playing a game throughout a single day, but not for the entire day. I may have gone over that on a boring day during the holidays, but I doubt it. 12 hours is certainly a long time. Never that long during school and university terms, though - I always put my studies first, and use games as a reward for hard work. And they say gaming gives you bad grades.

As for the games, most likely Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, and GTA: San Andreas.

I've played a few sessions that were around 36-40 hours, mostly Europa Universalis 3 and Victoria 2.

I can easily do 16 hour sessions but after that I need sleep. Though I have woke up and played 16 hours the next day. There's no point in playing when you're tired, you can't do as well and you won't remember what you did.

More than 24 hours, less than 30 hour gaming binges in World of Warcraft. They were very few. But shit got done as /tg/ would say.

Man, I hope I have more, but again be very few in number.

Probably 12-16 hours. They used to be a lot more common back when games were good. There hasn't been any games worth playing for that duration in a long time.
That and I don't have LAN parties like I used to either. My friends and I all have too many other responsibilities now and we'd rather get together for PnP games instead.

Had an 18 hour session of SoaSE once. Still wasn't long enough to finish the game. I've come close with other SoaSE games, Civ 5, and HoM&M 5, but if I have that much free time I'm going to use some of it to sleep.
In the words of my CAD Professor Eddy Kent: sleep is a commodity that once lost cannot be recovered.

I think somewhere between 8 and 12 hours, but honestly I have no damned clue. I generally don't keep track after the day is done.

Although it wasnt a straight up session the Plane of air raid deserves a mention , was a 4 day weekend thanks to bank holidays, the entire guild put in 4 21 hour sessions back to back in an effort to clear it

13 hours. Skyrim was my life when it came out.

Borderlands 2 came pretty close to beating that though. I pretty much played non stop from the assault on the Bunk3r until the end of the game. Not sure how long that was though.

Probably about 20 hours playing Final Fantasy XI. I was 16, just finished my GCSEs, parents had gone on holiday for the week, only one thing to do in that situation...

I probably played that game 12 hours a day for the whole time the house was free. Totally worth it. Could never do it now though, damn things like jobs and band practice take up much more of my time.

Pffft... lightweights...

71 Hours and 12 Minutes is my record. When Mass Effect 2 came out, I played through Mass Effect 1 for a complete 100% save, then proceeded to ME2 to do the same.

Then I made a Vanguard and did it all over again. Didn't finish the second one though, got a little too sleepy.

I had a 4 day game marathon with my buddy but we slept around 6 hours for about 2 hours at a time through that.
It was on N64, Wii (Only brawl), Ds and cafe world. It was probably the only time I enjoyed Nintendo more then something by Sony or Microsoft.

Probably close to 36 hours. This was back when games were transitioning to the 3D plane with open environments, and functioning "worlds". GTA 3 for example, or Morrowind. Blew my mind.

16=20 on ME3 and SWtOR.
The SWTOR run was one of the free BETA weekends and wanted to get as far as possible in the two days, managed to get my smuggler to the second planet and my agent to the third.
ME3 was preloaded on release, but for some reason my save files didn't transfer over, so had to replay the last mission on ME2. Over the weekend I had to play got to the Cerberus main base (AKA the point of no return) before having to leave to for the week, and despite trying to avoid spoilers when the BBC news has a report on people complaining about the ending it's a little difficult.

Oblivion when I first got it, just us to wake up and instantly turn it on and just get lost in the world it made over and over again, then my save file got corrupted and it ended that addiction. XD

Though it's been way too long since I've just binged out on a game and let it take over my day. Though with my Halloween week off break coming up very soon, I think I'll spend a few days zoning out to a few games. :D

My time isn't represented on the poll. I once did over 60 hours straight for World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King with no breaks other than an occasional snack and bathroom.
That would be the option: "I will sleep when I am dead". :)
