[HEADING=2]War comes to __________[/HEADING]

Do you enlist immediately or not? The causes are not clear but the war has already taken thousands of civilian lives on your side of the border. Your family/friends have enlisted and everywhere you go you see people you know saying their goodbyes before basic training.

Do you have doubts and wait? Do you want to stay away from the fighting altogether? Or do you sign up right now?

Decide if you want. I'd probably be torn between waiting or going right away...

America is fighting many wars now anyway. push comes to shove though? I defect to Canada.

EDIT: you mean on the home-front don't you? I'd have the same plan as I do for zombies: hold up and protect those close to me but not involve my self to the front lines/ follow orders to my death.

If the war came to america and its fight or die, ill go out in a blaze of glory...or trip over a landmine. If its overseas and have no repercussions for me personally im staying home.

The reason to fight is everything.

Arbitrary 'at war, go fight' and I can't imagine even being able to fight.

Fighting for an appropriate, truly just cause like national self-defense? You wouldn't be able to stop me.

Captain Sheridan-styled patriotism. Not General Sheridan-styled.

How many civilian lives have been taken on their side of the border?

No, I wouldn't enlist. Who the hell would throw themselves into a war with "unclear" causes? The actions of my hypothetical family and friends would have no influence on me because they are clearly morons.

SAM launcher from outside your radar range, GG. Even if you pop counter-measures, you're still going down.

It depends on the circumstances. If it was an unprovoked attack on my country (not terribly likely), and we were being invaded, I would probably sign up for the militia/national guard. Otherwise, it's unlikely. I hate the government too much to willingly give of myself for their gain.

My borders are oceans, so yeah...

Right this moment? I'm one year away from completely my medical degree, I'm probably more useful finishing my education and enlisting after that if it's truly that drastic a conflict. If a draft was introduced I'd probably be able to defer it for my education.

I'm enlisting in the Army Reserves in January anyway so yeah I guess I would. It's not really a spur of the moment type thing for me, I've wanted to serve for about 2 years now but the times never been right till now.

I already served 6 years in the US Army. So theres that.

I'd like to think that I'd jump right back in, but the fact is that my spine is garbage and I'm in no position to go shooting people. I'd certainly help however I could.

And it would certainly move up my timeline for the purchase of this bad boy (Just in case).

The Barrett REC7! When you like the murder potential of 5.56, but need the extra oomph that 6.8 gives you.
