It's impossible to value one life differently from another, so numerically i'd be better if more people (who are worth the same) survive.
Therefore, ideologically i would rather die myself. Practically? I'm not sure if my body is wired in a way that allows me to follow through with that action.
Then again, ethically i would be doing nothing wrong if i refused to participate, even if that resulted in someone else killing the ten men. It would be someone else's action causing their death, someone else's choice. I would ethically be in the right.
Other people on this thread have also suggested looking for ways to escape, or communicate with the ten men. Hypothetical situations like this need to be set up in a more "foolproof" manner, or else poeple answer with further hypotheticals: "what if we know sign language?", "what if our combined strength can break the glass?", "what if we can figure out a way to escape?".
Either come up with something more foolproof, or something that's actually realistic.
