I enjoy all platforms, but my heirarchy of top 5 is
1. PS3: slightly better hardware and blu-ray for bigger disc storage--no multidisc games!
2. PC: Best graphics as well as features left out of console versions
3. 360: ALMOST identical to the PS3 in game hardware, better for shooters
4. Wii: because Metroid, Zelda, Mario, et al.
5. PS2: for all those games my PS3 unfortunately won't play

I'm no fanboy of any console, but having all of the above that's how often I use them.

PC: I like my peripheral option of anything! (arcade sticks, joysticks/HOTAS, Mouse, keyboard, controllers, etc...)

But seriously there are only TWO reasons PC is the preferred platform.
- I can still play the games I have bought since I was a child, while the floppys may not still be useful, i could still use it if I wanted, I can still play TIE Fighter on my PC (first game I bought with my money) and Space Quest, Wolf 3D, hell even Jill of the Jungle. Let the sink in and blow your mind, in the span of time that I have still been able to play my very first games I have gone from VCR to DVD to BluRay and finally to digital media. 4 format changes and none compatible with the old except for digital media which is PC. Look at the game consoles, can I still play Grover's typing adventures (or whatever it was called) for the C64. How about Lock 'n Chase or Utopia for the Intellivision. Unless I still have a working box (or emulator for the PC) than no I can't.

-Graphics can be upped as much as you want, i.e. 1080p and higher. If you want cheap like a console then aim for 720p like a console, it costs the less than a console to buy a card that can do that if adding to a current pc. You still need a PC period, the cost of a normal desktop should not be included in those crazy figures people throw up for the "too expensive" argument, a normal desktop plus a $200 card will get most games to 720p w/ AA or 1080p and HDMI for TV output and mATX you can build a machine that is just a bit fatter than a console. And older games can be modded to be more than they where when the game was released, see Oblivion/ STALKER etc.

-Mods are great but not really a deciding factor, more of a "it would be nice."

PC - it only does EVERYTHING! *use Gary Oldman from "The Professional" voice*

I don't know, does my Girlfriend count as a platform?

If Not, PC.

Point of interest: who here isn't posting on this thread on a PC?
I'm posting this on my Wii. I just like being unable to see flash and type by pointing at the screen, especially since I am pretty shaky so I end up pressing the wrong letters all the time. Just kidding... on several levels. I can use a keyboard to type with the Wii, and I am using a PC to write this :p.

I usually enjoy playing games best on my Xbox, but I think the PC is far superior. I must admit I play games on the PC a lot more, well, I also play a lot on my phone. I enjoy all platforms, except for PS3 and PSP... I don't have those so I can't enjoy it.

I used to own all of them but my PS3 and PSP(X2) broke, along with 2 PS1s and 3 PS2s. I don't think Sony like me, all of my friends' still work fine... Although, they were good while they lasted.

It's 360 for me, because my computer is currently in quite a bad way, most of my (online) friends have one, and other than occasionally playing Fat Princess or DC Universe: Online, my PS3 simply gathers dust.

PC, because I try to keep my life as simple as possible and having a gaming PC means I have one machine that can do multiple things.

PS2, it has the best games IMO. It's old so it has a huge collection and it's diverse, and I don't mind the graphics as long as I have great gameplay.

I own all of them but my PC really isn't good enough to be taken seriously as a platform. My PS3 is very new so I have few games for it so at the moment by xBox 360 is still my favourite platform.

These days?

DOS.

With about 20 years of back-catalogue, entire genres that are now extinct, games with humour, games that are compelling besides the technological limitations.

I haven't see a game this year that I'd be prepared to part with AU$100 to get. Parallel Import restrictions are stupid >.<

I mostly play my DS. There are just more games that appeal to me. Lot's of original IPs on DS.
