I feel more loyal to the developers rather than the publishers. Bioware is my favourite developer but EA doesn't win any awards for being a good publisher in my books.

I suppose as far as publishers go I would have to say Valve because of their massive support for PC gamers.

If you don't know what a subsidiary is, its a child company for example, Bethesda, maker of games such as fallout 3 and the elder scrolls series is a subsidiary of Zenimax media
2k games is a subsidiary of take-two interactive, they also own rockstar.

Also epic games is not a publisher. they are only a developer. they're a third party developer for microsoft game studios.
not according to the wiki
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_game_publishers and this one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epic_Games look up epic games, they are also a publisher, at least now they are

I did make a mistake on 2k though, but it is still a publisher, and not alot of people would know what take two interactive was

None. I refuse to pledge myself to any publisher, since they all seem keen to piss me off one way or the other.

Activision - complete dickbags
EA - Just because they're doing better now doesn't mean I can forgive them for their past.
Epic - Abandoning the PC
Valve - Steam is still screwy. Also, having to connect to the internet to start in offline mode COMPLETELY DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF AN OFFLINE MODE!
Indy - Not sure if you can count indy devs as publishers...
its because alot of them dont have publishers. thats why

also you dont have to connect to the internet to get offline mode...

I don't trust Activision as far as I could throw them (Blizzard I'm OK with)
After that, Valve for #1 because I love their design strategy (dev commentary FTW)
Second prize goes to EA for their efforts to ditch their rep as "the Evil Empire" (which was happily picked up by Activision later) and by nature of incorporating Bioware.

My bad on Epic, in fairness though they haven't published a game since 1994 as far as I can tell. Everything they've done since then has been published by Atari, Midway or Microsoft Game Studios.

Eidos Interactive. You guys rock!

Plus they have Tomb Raider, and I do very much like Tomb Raider.

While The Sims is my greatest guilty pleasure and I loves me some old-school SimCity, I gotta go with indie---specifically Paradox Interactive, makers and publishers of the Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron series and publisher for TaleWorlds, makers of Mount&Blade and its Warband sequel/standalone x-pack.

I could probably get by as a gamer on those two games/series.

Loyalties:

1.Insomniac Games (Spyro the Dragon was the first game I ever played [I'm not that old])
2.Square Enix (I love Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest)
3.Naughty Dog (One name, Crash Bandicoot)
4.Capcom (Need I say Devil May Cry and Resident Evil)
5.Eidos (Tomb Raider is beautifully stunning)

None. I play what I want from whatever developer I want. If it sucks, it sucks. If it's good, it's good. I don't crucify a developer for a bad game or two, and I don't worship one for a good game or two.

Half the time, I neither know, nor care who developed the game I'm playing.

I can't vote for two? that's a ripoff right there.

While I voted Activision Blizzard, i'd like to point out that I am also allied with EA XD

(And I swear, I don't lump activision in with Bobby Kotick, that if the company didn't have him at the helm, I would guess there would be a lot less hate.)
