I fucking hate men. I'm single bc I cut off all contack with guys who even thought of hitting on me. Of course, I'd play him first. Give him my phone number and pretend to be interested. Then I just don't answer when he calls.
That's... nice. Although, a bit immature. Ooh, you didn't answer the phone, ouch, you hurt my man feelings! /sarcasm

Why is it that the intersection of (girls who like me) and (girls who I like) is the null set?

Sadly single. I have a lot of close female friends (some of which I reeeeeaaally like), but none of them are interested in me as relationship material =(

Not in a relationship. Generally I've been OK with being single, but recently it's becoming quite a drag.

Maybe one day I'll meet the perfect girl, but then she'll probably go out with someone nicer so I'd have to settle for someone else. My dream woman would love video games and own some sort of Spaniel (preferably King Charles Cavalier, but I'm not fussy).

I didn't vote because none of them are completely right. I am single as I broke up with my girlfriend when I went to uni, I could have carried it on but I didn't want to. However that doesn't mean I don't want to be in a relationship! I'd say somewhere in between sadly and by choice.

Single by choice, and it's gonna stay that way until someone really goddamn special comes along.

I've been single for about a month after over five years of being in a relationship and I'm actually enjoying it. I feel like 10 years younger, I feel wide awake.

In relationships, and happy with them. :)
i'm not sure what to say about that, mostly about the plural
You can chill. I'm not stupid enough to boast about doing anything unethical. They all know about each other. Hells, I have dinner with 2 of them at once on a regular basis. All 3 would happen if the third wasn't unfortunately long distance. :(
But you must make it happen woman! That's like, 3 times the boobs!
*Man brain explodes*

Ah, good old man brain. The bit that gets excited at the thought of films with Bruce Willis, bacon,
guitar solos, and boobs.

It'll be back soon enough...

OT: In a relationship, going on about 4 years now.
'tis awesome.
It amazes me that more people don't have a serious problem with this. (i.e.: I'm amazed you don't have a billion women [or even guys] howling you off the forum yet)
Because I'm obviously joking?
With the Serenegoose post we're quoting

So, first I was an Escapist minority for being female. Then I was a minority for being old enough to drink.

Now I'm a minority for being in a relationship.

...I'm just a whole mess of the unexpected, I suppose.
You are not alone. xD

I am in a relationship with a wonderful guy and we will be together for a year on Nov 20th.

Voted "Sadly Single," but considering the points in time where I've been in a relationship are more the exception than the rule, it's not so much "sadly," as in "I'm so depressed because I don't have a girlfriend," as it is "lamentably," as in "I'm not moping over it, but it's a shame that I'm single." What's got me somewhat down* is the fact that I transferred to a new university this term, and I know very few people. The few people I know aside from my roommates are on completely different schedules than I am, so I see them very rarely. This leads to me meeting less people, which has the side effect of me meeting less dateable girls. It's a vicious cycle, especially for someone who usually has a fairly large group of friends and acquaintances.

*Not depressed; more bored than anything else, although with a little bit of homesickness in the direction of my friends.
