I usually empty a magazine and then dive into cover to reload. Or if I get a peaceful moment with less than half a mag. But if I've spent just a couple of rounds, I don't bother.

For some reason I like reloading. I try all guns at least once to see how they reload.

I usually reload if theres a break in combat, so if I can get several guys with one clip I will. But I don't let it auto reload for me, I never fully unload a clip, before reloading... except in Black where you just had 5ish clips, meaning that if you constantly reload you end up loading half full clips.

I really don't reload at certain times during a game. I just do my thing and reload when i feel its time.

I reload straight after every kill unless there is another enemy right in front of me. This is sometimes bad (LMG's)

Too much. Often right after a kill, that is providing I'm not facing multiple opponents at once.

But that gets me killed so so often, how many times I did not reload to only see someone pop around and a corner and take me down. I say to myself, "Only reload when you're in cover, never reload and keep running at the same time." But I keep doing it.

Depends on the game and how ammo works (although usually I will reload "when it's safe")

CoD/Rainbow, where reloading simply means that you'll transfer the ammo to other mags, ending up with a mag with (lets say) 9/30 rounds. This means that unless I'm in a big firefight, I'll reload after every 1-2 kills (dependant on ammo use, mag size etc)
"Tactical" reloading is the term I think.

However, this doesn't always work...
For example - on BF2 (PC) if you reload, but have some rounds left in the mag, you loose them. So, reloading after a kill, and you've only used 3 rounds, isn't very sensible (if you're in a huge battle, and only had 5 mags to start with)

If there is nobody around after a kill, it's reload time.
If I'm pursuing an enemy and I run out of bullets I throw a grenade and reload while they try to avoid it.
