It's funny when the episode is focusing on Charlie Sheen, when the story starts to gravitate towards the fat kid or the other guy then I usually stop watching.

Eh, It's O-KAAAAAAY. Not the worst thing on television, though I guess that's still arguable.

American sit-coms seem to stick to a formula these days, even when i'm trying realy hard to get into it just trying (cos a friend wants to watch it etc) the jokes are forced and the characters are just there to anoy me i swear :S

The only sit-com i love with a passion is Spaced, it's too perfect, its like a great big shiny diamond in a mountain of poop.

I never really liked live-action t.v. shows, or sitcoms. I don't have cable or t.v. access anymore, either; for that very reason. I hated Friends (and for awhile everyone who fawned over it, including my own sisters.) And most other t.v. shows of the same nature. In my opinion, it's nearly all garbage.

Each t.v show for 'adults', Two and a half Men, How I met Your Mother, every thing on the W.B.,FOX, NBC etc, are the equivalent of every silly sitcom they've ever thrown-up and handed us, by Disney and Nickelodeon. But they like to sprinkle it with sex jokes, that they think only 'adults' will be able comprehend and giggle at. They are all silly faced, overacting, over-exaggerated, audio laugh track shows. The only shows I could actually say I enjoyed, are Seinfeld, and every ones favorite love-to-hate show, 'Everybody Loves Raymond'.

What can I say? It actually had a pretty good cast (Peter Boyle & Doris Roberts, their chemistry was unmistakably good as an old married couple. They were my favorite part of the show). Except the concept of the show was repetitive, it's plot was immensely simple and easily relateable, which is probably the reason I enjoyed it. (R.I.P Peter Boyle, I'll never forget you as the Frankenstein, in Young Dr. Frankenstein. =D)

Then again, everything about entertainment and enjoying it, is opinion based. And you'll usually find yourself hard-pressed to 'convert' anyone from what they've already chosen to love or what appeals to them and brings them some sort of happiness.

I agree with the OP, I think it's garbage. I don't think it has ever once made me laugh. And the difference between Two and Half Men and Family Guy is really very simple: Family Guy is actually funny.
Yes I think its funny as well, even though it is mindless drivel I still enjoy it when I am tired of complicated plots and good acting.

Seen it a few times.

Never laughed during an episode.

I found it annoying but then again, it's a sitcom. How many sitcoms are actually good?

[sup][sup][sup]Psst...the answer is "none"[/sup][/sup][/sup]
Well, there are a few British sitcoms I find funny, but all of them are no longer airing anymore.
Okay, let me rephrase it. How many currently airing sitcoms are actually good?
the office(american), and 30 rock

It USED to be good, but NOW it sucks. It's certainly not the worst sitcom out there, but just using the word sitcom in a sentence makes you less intelligent.

EDIT: Just to clarify for those of you people who are confused on what a "sitcom" is (I.E. half of you); A television situation comedy, often shortened to sitcom, is a genre of comedy that features recurring characters in a common environment such as a home or workplace, accompanied with jokes as part of the dialogue. A situation comedy may be recorded before a studio audience. Some also feature a laugh track. (Stolen from Wikipedia, Google is fun).

Its normally shown on comedy central during the day where I live, to be honest I don't mind the show at all it normally finds its way onto our television if me and my flat mates cant decide what to watch. For us you could call it the neutral zone of television nobody is particulary in love with it but nobody hates it either.

Needless to say, when a show needs to tell people when to laugh you should doubt the quality of the show.

In my opinion it's incredibly overrated, it's not as bad as some shows I can think of, *cough*family guy*cough* but it's jokes are really bad and stale. What really annoys me about it is the lack of consistency in Allen's character, every single time he shows a somewhat likeable trait he does something in the next 5 minutes to contradict it. Seriously, you can't have a main character that is COMPLETELY unlikeable.

As someone who grew up with Full House, I appreciate just how good this show really is in comparison. The answer is none at all. I can't do it man, I can't trash Full House. I loved that show man, it was a part of my fucking childhood!

*runs away sobbing*

But yeah, Two and a Half Men's okay but I have no inclination to watch it.

I never found it very funny. There're a few moments scattered throughout episodes that make it watchable - mostly Charlie Sheen, because he's actually a pretty damn good actor (case in point: Platoon). I find the kid annoying as hell and would like to introduce his bollocks to my combat boots.

It is horrifically un-funny. Everything feels so forced. They try to inject a lame joke every 3 seconds and it's obnoxious as hell (a lot of modern sitcoms seem to take this approach for some reason).
