Wow, every respondent has been a gonzo or higher. I think of myself as fairly verbose, but I can't imagine the amount of time you must devote to build your counts to where they are now. Part of me is impressed, and part thinks they need some variance in their hobbies.
Speaking of which, what are the ranks in order?

OT, I don't really care, unless it's over 30K or below 20.

Do I really need to be spending more time with your wife?
No, you need to get your ass in the Games forum, unless you're too cool these days. You can keep the wife though. She's worn out anyways.
What can I say, I'm trying to be all hip and edgy to gain popularity!

All I need now is a leather jacket.

Anyways, to kind of put this back on topic, I used to never go into the forum games when I joined up. I never realized how fun they were

Nah bro, I recognize you. I LOL at most of your posts.

Btw awesome avatar. I hope to see a St. Patrick's day-themed one too :D
Haha, thats nice to know.

Seeing as I'm limited to paint for my editing skillz, I'll try my best to make something presentable.

It's not the post count that matters, it's the content in people's posts that counts. However I am wiery to new members and suspect them as potential trolls until their post count has reached at least 50.

I think people should look up to forum lurkers like myself. I've been here since June '07 and have less than 300 posts to my name.

It doesn't really matter to me. I've been around longer than a lot of you folks, but have a smaller post count.
Can't really use it as a meterstick.

It seems to me that on most forums, post count is in correlation to forum influence, sometimes people tend to "look up" to those with a post count over 1000 (or 9000?! I had to). So what are your thoughts when you see someone with a post count around 1-10 thousand?

EDIT: I personally don't care, I just want to know what you think. Just in case people are getting the wrong idea. Also added the useless poll option that serves as comedic relief.

EDIT 2: How in the hell did 'Banana Sandwich Crazy Option' get more votes than the other 2 serious options?
On the rare occasions I actually notice this, I think "gee they must post a lot". I don't think anything else.

Oh and if you put in stupid poll options EVERYONE votes for them, therefore basically making the entire purpose of your poll (to find out what the community thinks about a certain issue) completely worthless.

What like me?

I don't really pay attention to post counts unless they're brand new here.
The fact you have more than 10,000 posts in less than a year annoys me. I don't know why, it just does.

I bet you're a nice lad (or ladette), but on here I think you need to get out a little.
...meanie.

In all honesty, I probably should get out more, but I'm out every weekend. I go to movies at least twice a week, I go out to eat at least once a day and I'm normally out all day. Albeit, not with anyone, but I'm still out.

I do most of my posting at night which is when I stay up latest.

I don't know why I felt the need to explain myself to you, but I do, so I did.

I know the deal with stupid poll options, but usually when I put them on a poll, they only get one or two votes tops.

Having over 1,000 posts doesn't really give you any cred around here. Over 9,000 like you said second though...

I don't really care about people's post counts. However, I'm likely to have strong feelings positive or negative towards people with high post counts because I see them around a lot.

Oh yay! There's another addict!
Sweet Jesus, I'm not alone today!
Oh, and then I ignore the number.
Seriously, if you're going to go off of a number, how about you spend some time on their profile page, assign numerical values to the letters in a person's name, and then add them all up.
That would be just as meaningful as post count.

Why should it matter, the reason I have such a high post count is because I enjoy posting, not because it makes me anymore influential.

When they joined like...three months ago and have fifteen hundred posts (that's 1500) I get the feeling that they have little to do with their life. I don't mean to sound like the usual carbon-copy internet prude (though if I do, I don't really care). I just can't fathom the idea of having that many posts within just over ninety days.
