When I see a wicked high post count, I say to myself "hey they know their way around here, they're almost as good as mods for asking questions about stuff, so I'll make sure to remember them."

They are just another poster, people who condemn/praise others for their post count high or low need shut up about it and get on with posting themselves.
Nothing more true has been said. Unless of course, they're new. Then I have a problem. Probably low-content, pointless posts or something.

The Escapist community seems pretty good about not discriminating against low post count members (and I don't think I've ever seen someone with a high post count given trouble for that reason on ANY site).

It certainly is a big issue on some boards though.

Edit: Forgot to talk about the actual topic. I voted for the "meh" option because thats what I think (durr). I really like the idea of a forum where post counts are totally invisble. I don't really see the point of being able exactly how many times someone has posted (and yes, I realise I have a low post count).

It just means that they've been around and know the ropes. They provide valuble information and must have a pretty good idea of what to and not to do.

EDIT 2: How in the hell did 'Banana Sandwich Crazy Option' get more votes than the other 2 serious options?
Because they dont really care, and the option is a better way of saying something? On a side note, Peatnut butter and banana sandwitches are awsome.

1-10 Thousand is a lot of posts but it doesn't mean they have no life or post crap all the time. It's when a user has a lot of posts in a short period of time it makes them look like they have no life.

So what are your thoughts when you see someone with a post count around 1-10 thousand?
I think you meant 20-40 thousand.

Also, I know the regular answer is 'I don't care', or something humorous, but I can't deny that there is some part of me that thinks "they've no life".

Especially the 30+ thousand people.

A little bit.

Some of you guys do know that you are quoting people from February, right?

OT: I hate those people.
