I'm looking forward to Pokemon Black and White, if only to see where it's going with it.
From what I understand of the main antagonist is that he isn't some crazy nutjob trying to rule the world and/or ruin it, he's just some hippy that wants to end the "nonsense" of battles. And I hate hippies... I really do, so this villain is really for me. I mean, I wanted to join Team Rocket then say screw you to Professor Oak and his Pokedex as I run around getting people prepared for trouble. Everybody else after was just insane... Team Rocket at least had business sense and wasn't trying to destroy the world, plus they had better perks.
They're abandoning most of the Pokemon from before and are creating new ones, this is a mixed bag. You have the old favorites people want, but you're also opening this up for new players to get into it. Then there's the fact they're actually being creative for once instead of just adding maybe ten new ones and some others disguised as new.
There's going to be three on three battles. I don't know if that's a good thing, I don't think it is, but eh... chaos is chaos, right?
All in all... I ultimately welcome this, if only out of curiosity.
Hmm... I forgot to answer the question... I think the series is no worse than it ever has been. There, that's it.
