Well, yesterday I was at a party playing hide and seek in the dark, bearing in mind i'm sixteen. Then some guy nearly strangled me.

I'm still pretty childish at heart. Its buried under a wall of cynicism, but some events can bring it out. I'm normally stoic and unfeeling, but I've been known to spontaneously become the clown of whatever group I'm in from time to time. It surprises people.

Besides for playing with my much younger (6 and 7) cousins when I do see them, I climb trees every chance I get. Like yesterday. Or swing on swingsets in parks. Or chase frogs. Fucking love chasing frogs and things that hop.

I've grown up and matured a lot in my 29 years on this planet, but I'm still firmly in touch with my inner child.

I chase birds sometimes, I try to walk inside the pavement tiles, I climb trees. I do childish stuff without even noticing.

Though I'm only 14, so kind of a kid, but I do consider myself too old for these type of things, but at the same time I'm kind of...don't care. If I want to do something amusing, be it childish or not, I'll do it.

Uh, dude, video games?
How is it any more childish than watching TV or a movie?
Negative post is negative.

As a side note, this post was the most childish thing I've done in a while.

I'm Peter Freaking Pan (on acid).

The adult world is dark, frightening and the entire economy seems to feed its hungry, salivating, mouth on the souls of business people, taking special joy in the deception and competition and general shittiness that adults seem apt and able to do to each other, let alone the messing with children through marketing for a buck.

Who wants to be a grown up anyway? Every day takes another god damn piece of magic out of my life, some of that intangible stuff that made you wonder at things, or just play in a sand pit for a few hours. Sure, I don't want to spend my days building sand castles, but sometimes I just wish I still had the ability to look at something simple and wonder, instead of just seeing it for what it is.

Thank god for good drugs.

I wrestle with my five year old son and 18 month old son, it's fun. Mikey is learning to fight to win so he inevitably breaks free and goes for his toy chainsaw or shotgun. I play along so I've been given the Ash Williams treatment more than once in make believe land.

I came across my old stash of Lego technic in the attic recently. Three full hours later, I came out with a fully working tank.

I also found my old cap guns, but obviously you can't use these within the UK anymore because someone will call you a terrorist and Gordon Brown will throw you in the gulag.

Whenever I play with home made explosives.

Seriously, there's nothing profound or adult about it. Just the childish joy of lighting a fuse, running like hell and watch the resulting "big boom".

Although I could probably write extensive poetry about the feelings a good explosion or fire evokes in me, I can't deny the childish reasons behind it all. : )

But then again, adults don't exist. All adults are just children in disguise...
