I wonder, fellow forum-goers, when was the last time you did something truly childish? Not for irony, or humour, but just because you felt like it?

I ask this because where I live, it rained today. I decided out of the blue to do something I haven't done in probably eight years, and ride my bike around in the deluge. And it felt good. I wasn't with anyone to show off in front of, I had no other reason than I felt like doing it.

Sometimes I feel that for all the talk of internet Denizens being idiotic man-children, we really don't do things that children would.

So I ask you: when was the last time you climbed a tree for the hell of it? Or spun in circles until you fell over? Or tried to swing all the way over the top bar?

I just played barbies with my nieces like 30 minutes ago does that count? Somehow I always have to be skipper (the little sister)

I climbed a tree on my walk home today. I was alone, I did it for fun.
I also skip pretty often too.

I try to do something childish every now and again. It keeps me from going completely insane.

I do believe that everything I do is childish in some way.

Of course, when the situation warrants it, I can be totally serious.

Boooooooring.

OT: I'm 15 so don't know if I'm qualified to answer - although my extended 'boring' just then wasn't mature.

I'm a 15 year old girl trapped inside a 18 year old boys body. I loved Mean Girls and Legally Blonde.
Can't say I've done anything particularly childish for a while though. My inner girl is growing up though. She's almost 16 now but she still believes in sex for love. She's also firmly into puberty and just got off her period.
Kittens do make me regress though. To answer your question then, probably the last time I went to Cyprus, the hotel had like a cat and she just had a litter like a month before we went. There were some pretty hot girls there too, but I barely noticed them because those kittens were SO CUTE. My penis hates me.

I act like a child when I'm drunk, my age being proportional to my soberness. I usually end up as a toddler.

Well, I truly think that being a child will always be a part of my life. I keep a collection of children's books in my room because I love to read them. I still find the word "poop" hilarious. I still love to have fun by bouncing around a room and throwing a ball around. I love "play fighting" with by buddies.

Hell, towards the end of the summer, me and three friends decided it was time to play LEGO. So I busted out my big box o' blocks and we built "bases" and in the bases were the "guys" and those guys had "guns". Just the idea of calling it "playing" when you're with your friends rather than "chilling" or "hanging out" is a great thing.

I'm going to go into a little tangent here. When you're a four year-old all you really need for fun is a room and a friend and you will invent something that will last you 4 hours of solid "play time". Not doing anything but running around and pretending you're doing something completely different. Now this may not apply to the Escapist as much per se, but think about the average teenager. They need to simulate this experience and so what do they do? They drink, they smoke weed, they do whatever they can to simulate the fun of a child. Then what? You lose the ability to have that kind of fun without the booze or the weed. You're stuck. You're bored without that stuff. I noticed it happening to me and I quit drugs altogether.

I'm going to go on another small tangent as well. I don't think being immature and mature at the same time is an impossible feat because I believe they are measured on different scales. I'm going to use my dad as an example. He's a very intelligent man. I would consider him very mature. However he is also the most childish and hilarious person to talk to I've ever met in my life. That's not to say there's no kind of immaturity to detract from your level of "maturity", but I think that people focus too much on being "mature" and end up as boring people (*cough*My best friend's ex-girlfriend*cough*).

Ugh... this response is too long-winded. I guess I'm not a child anymore.

Off the top of my head:

I jumped off my house yesterday.

I through a rock at a bird and it hit.

Sometimes I break into dance in public places to embarrass my sister.
