Why am I at a party in the first place?

Anyway, no, I wouldn't do it. I'd also probably leave afterwards.

Yes, of course. A couple of tokes on a joint isn't going to hurt, despite what everyone in this thread seems to think. I'd probably rather do that than drink, since at least I won't feel like death the next day.

I actually bought some weed a good 6 months ago now so I could try it, and yet its still sitting in a "hidden" pot in the kitchen (don't worry, it hasn't gone off yet) waiting to be smoked.

I dunno, I support legalisation of weed, and understand that its not as bad as alcoholic beverages and/or smoking tabbaco, but with all the scare stories i've been brought up with, i'm hesitant to use it, especially since I consider myself slightly paranoid now as it is.
Dude, it's totally fine. If it's your first time, you probably won't feel anything, or the second time, that was the case for me anyway. Just keep trying it.

One should never mix THC and ethanol.

Pot alone is a lot less harmful than alcohol, but combined they are more harmful than both.
Weed then booze you're good. Booze then weed you're deed*.

*"Deed" being Scottish slang for dead.

OT: Fuck yeah I would, i'll take whatever comes by.

No I wouldn't touch it.
I've never even tasted normal tobacco so I wouldn't do weed either.

No. I've never smoked weed, and if I did, a cop would materialize behind me right at that moment.
And if one did, all he would do is give you a stern look and say 'come on now, you should really put that out' before leaving to do real police work that he actually gives a shit about.

Why would I be at a party? I never get invited anywhere and when I do I can't afford it.
I'd say no to a joint. I don't care how people may argue it's fine and good for you, I take pride in being the only one in my family to not to take drugs.

Do a Mark Corrigan: Make them think you've taken it, then act stoned, followed by ambushing them which I get bored of their antics and giving a speech about how stupid they're all behaving.

Yes, I know that this was with a tablet, and that he did weed once, but the point remains that it would be epically more fun.

I'm surprised most people on this thread wouldn't even do it out of curiousity. Weed is non-addictive and having a few tokes is about as harmful as having a couple of bottles of beer.

Basically, if you try it, you either decide you don't like it and don't do it again (but now from a point of experience rather than naivety), or you decide its actually fairly pleasant and may do it again from time to time.

Provided you don't become a stoner (and its pretty difficult to get addicted to cannabis from wht I've heard), there is no problem with doing it occaisionally. Its less harmful than alchohol. Furthermore, drunk people can get loud, violent and stupid, which I think is far worse than being mellow. Alchohol not only causes more damage to yourself, but also to other people (drunk driving, getting into fights etc.). I don't see how you can drink alchohol but be against cannabis and have a consistent argument.

Never have, never will. And I really wouldn't have to do much to get any, my room-mate smokes... I'll stick to copious amounts of alcohol, thank you.

Incidentally, I know a lot of people believe it's not addictive. This is wrong. It's not physically addictive, like tobacco, but it is psychologically addictive. It might take a bit longer before you're hooked, but it's at least as hard to shake as a physical addiction.

Yes, I would. Mainly because the person that offers it would have some of the best around...
