You know how the unskipalables guy and zero punctuation swapped roles for a review. I think it would be interesting to have the Extra Credits crew to a harsh review of a game, and yahtzee do an enlightened message about video games in general.

Anyone else think this could be awesome?

This would be entertaining indeed. Though I'd bet the EC crew couldn't bring themselves to be as harsh as Yahtzee, seeing as they actually work in the industry and have stated before that it is a lot smaller than you might think, so the next time they saw someone who worked on the game they blasted things would be really awkward, and just think if James had to work _with_ that person.

Haha! True, that could be a little awkward. Still especially with the level of designer knowledge I would like to see what they would critique about a game.

Amusing yes I doubt the Extra Credits guys, even though I love them and watch them, would be able to grasp the true cynicism that being a game reviewer like Yahtzee brings but it would be nice to hear a new spin on the commentary.

If it happened, it would be interesting to see indeed. I doubt that Daniel Floyd and co could actually savage a game as well as Yahtzee does though. They do not seem like the type. Nor do I think that Yahtzee would lend himself well to thoughtful videogame commentary.

No, I don't really like Extra Credits so that would mean a wasted episode of ZP. And I can't imaging Yahtzee doing a Extra Credits episode way well.

I would love for them to write their scripts like usual but have the other group do read the script: To explain because that sounds a bit confusing, The Extra Credits team write a script for Extra Credits like they would normally, Yahtzee writes his own Zero Punctuation script and then the other has to read in in their own style, I think it would be really good if this happened for a week.

I'm not sure how well that would work, since Croshaw is employed as a Critic, and Floyd is employed as an Animator (and Portnow as a Game maker in some other capacity that I'm not aware of).

Crowshaw as well as the Guys in LRR are paid to be entertaining, but the people in Extra Credits are paid to be informative telling stuff about what they do and research they conduct.

I liked the crossover thing between Unskippable and Zero Punctuation. Maybe it would be entertaining. The problem is, Yahtzee isn't as big into the business as James of Extra Credits is, so his opinions on those sorts of matters might come off as a bit more uneducated or under-researched.

What I'm saying is, I'm sure Yahtzee could make an EC, but nobody would believe him as much as the regular EC crew.

Sounds like a good idea, but I seem to be missing something - unskippable and zero punctuation did a switch for an episode? When?

Yeah, but why stop there? We should get Yahtzee(ZP), Daniel and James(EC), Graham and Paul (Unskippable), and MovieBob all together for a big ol' mash-up week/month. Perhaps in April...

I did like that ome crossover, but I think overall Graham did better in ZP than Yahtzee did in UNSkippable.

So maybe, as long as everyone really tried to change their style to reflect the other person's.

Fuck no. I look to Extra Credits for well informed views on the philosophy of video games and video game design.

Yahtzee usually isn't well informed, nor is he a philosophical person. Please, don't ruin my favorite weekly video on the Escapist, even if just for one week.
