Poll: Zero Punctuation - Review or Comedy?

I was introduced to Zero Punctuation by a friend, and I'll admit that to begin with, I just thought it was funny, and watched it solely for that reason. However, the more I watched of it, I found that I was actually interested in what he had to say about the games themselves, and so that became the reason i watched the series, and it has remained that way until this day, and which, in my opinion, is how it's supposed to be watched, although it does rely heavily on the comedy.

I guess that the comedy is designed to make the review more entertaining, and give it an original twist, but for many viewers, it still remains the reason they watch, like the person who introduced me to the series in the first place. But then, i'm willing to bet that there are also alot of people who watch it as a review series. But what is the series to you? A comedy video with a review hidden in there somewhere? Or a review with an entertaining side to it?

At first he was just comedy but nowadays he just doesnt seem as funny to me and I see him more as a really good reviewer who can use Metaphors and Similies like a University English Teacher

There's no reason to call him an idiot, is there?

He sometimes makes some valid points, but it's more comedy based, which is why it's so popular.
And he's a critic, he's supposed to point out the bad things.

I wouldn't call Yahtzee a reviewer, more like an insult comic.

But I have been reading his Extra Punctuation and find them quite interesting.

I'm not interested in the review. By the time he reviews a game I've already seen it for myself. It's funny, that's all I want from him.

I would say that it's both.
It's a less extreme, more modern and more intelligent version of AVGN, in many ways.

It is a highly polarized-for-comedy's-sake rant on the game of the week done that brings game issues that few reviewers comment on to the forefront. Make of it what you will.

I find it helpful, myself. It provides another perspective on a game: Just remember that it is meant to be funny rather than objectively wholly rate the game.

I watch it for both reasons, however, more so for the reviews. I enjoy the review more than the comedy because it's so accurate, even if I don't always agree with his overall opinion of the game. Don't get me wrong, most of the references and metaphors are freakin' hilarious
but I watch it to find out about the flaws of a game I will probably play/buy at some point.

It's funny, but he also generally brings up important issues with games, so I'll say both. I remember watching his review of Too Human and remembering that it was very true from what I had experienced in the demo. Later when I bought the game in a weak moment I wished that I had remembered what Yahtzee said. He even said that he reviews the bad parts and everything else is ok. So he really does review them. If you watch a review and consider the bad points and go "I can live with that" then that's probably a good indicator of whether you should get the game or not.

Really? "along the way"...I suggest you go and re-watch his earlier episodes, if anything his "reviews" are more so now than then. Although it's clearly comedy.
