Poll: Zombie MMO

Now we have seen Urban Dead and Dead Frontier not much is going on for zombie mmos. What do you think is better? Urban Dead has a larger amount of people but no graphics (which is good for people with low specs) while Dead Frontier has graphics and gameplay but fewer people and can be harder for people with low specs. I personally think that both have a lot to be desired but I think more is to come.

never heard of any of those games, but i checked them out and they didnt really seem that interesting. i cant see why there arent any 3d zombie mmos out there.

There was a zombie mmo in the works called Exanimus but the development was put on hold very early in production.

The thing is that working with a zombie mmo idea would be hard for developers because the only mob in the game would be a zombie. Thus it would make it easy because either you could mow down zombies with say guns or that they would still have too few zombies to get you which makes it unbalanced for the computers. Overall it would be boring I think because of the fact you could run away from zombie mob. I would think that a way to make it then even is to give zombies either more health or increase the numbers of the horde. Balance is the main issue.

Agreed, the prequel to Wrath was incredibly enjoyable. I was sad when the huge amount of whining from people who couldn't stand PVP lead to blizzard speeding up the process of taking them out of the game.
However, it was a great tool for fun in a world that was otherwise incredibly dull at that point

A game that insisted upon an EVE-like faction selection, leading to an entire other "zombie" faction which could only be obtained through infection... Could possibly be an incredibly promising/fun idea. People like both sides of the fence almost equally, that is, fighting zombies vs being the zombies. At least, this is how it appeared during the WoW Invasion.

I'd think you'd be a zombie in a zombie mmo. Also, if you were killing zombies I'd imagine if the answer is just "health" or "moar zombies" than your post is ridiculous. If you're gonna assume they'd have problems doing that you should also assume they'd have a shitty inventory system. Really, if the developers miss something like that then I doubt the game would be any good anyway. Also, your post was assuming that all the zombies were slow, they could make faster zombies or ones that trap you so it doesn't matter if they're slow they'll kill you.

Screw your limited ideas of what an MMO should be. Just stick 10,000 or so people into a city, randomly infect two or three and see who survives at the end of it.

In a videogame I mean. Not in real life. That'd be bad.
