Because who can resist the Mushroom Kingdom taking the form of a fungus-infested, dystopian, post-apocalyptic city populated by dinosaur people?

That movie was easily the most entertaining five dollars I'd ever spent.Esotera said:I've also got to mention the amazing Murder Party:

Six-String Samurai is rated at 60% on rottentomatoes, not too shabby. Love that movie, though. I intend to see The Red Elvis' at some point.flying_whimsy said:I wasn't even aware the movie was well-known enough to get flak from critics.FalloutJack said:Six String Samurai will now join the list.
This. Much. I love Reign of Fire so hard. I'll watch it anytime I see it. It's like Jurassic Park to me. Drop everything and spend the day watching it, fuck the rest of the world. Matthew McCon...McCou... ... ... VanZandt is crap, but the rest is great. Always makes me imagine the rest of the world. Especially the "get 'em at sunset in Kansas" story.Metalhandkerchief said:Reign of Fire! [http://www.metacritic.com/movie/reign-of-fire] The thing has 39 (!!!) on Metacritic, what the actual fuck? That movie is downright great for it's portrayal of a dragon-haunted community in post-apocalyptic England. It was one of Christian Bale's best performances and the actual premise of the movie was belieavable, which is incredibly rare for a sci-fi/fantasy set on earth. Top that with fantastic special effects for 2002 (in fact it's still better than many movies from 2012 like Battleshit!) and all of it was done on a very impressively understated budget. I think what's really going on here is that non-USA cinematography conventions are so tough for these in-bred American critics to swallow. That's what!
Little Nicky, unlike Popeye's Chicken, is fuckin' awesome.Scarim Coral said:I like-

That film is great! Is it lowly rated? That'd surprise me. I always thought it was held in a somewhat high regard, which only made the sequels abysmal quality so much worse.Scarim Coral said:The Butterfly Effect

It's not gonna be in my top movies list but I did actually enjoy it. The movie had a very unique take on the alien genre (not the Alien movies, just alien movies in general). In reality, if we encountered an alien species that was incredibly advanced, how could be possibly understand their technology or motivations. The movie doesn't really answer these questions concretely but instead leaves you to speculate. This pissed a lot of people off (myself included at first) because they felt like they had just been left in the dark throughout the entire movie but I think that was kind of the point.FrozenCones said:Prometheus.
I feel like i'm one of maybe a handful of people in the world that actually thought it was a good movie.
Granted there were a couple of scenes that were just plain silly but i'm not going to condemn the entire film based on those.
