Bulletstorm for me.

Are you telling me I get to kick people in the face, wrap grenades around them, and shoot them in the balls? Well that sounds like fun!

Everything about the game seemed like a good random fun. But then I played the demo and was bored within the first 30 seconds of gameplay.
While I enjoyed it, I do hope the sequel ramps up the options. More weapons, more moves (not just whip, kick, & slide), and more environmental hazards. And a free run system, having to manually hop over stuff without a dedicated jump button screws up the flow... as does the patented slow-walking thing Epic seems determined to put in all of their games despite no one liking it.

Planescape: Torment. Yeah, I know. Lots of love and time put into the story and characters made by a beloved developer of time-honored games. I respect that.

Bottom line is that I found the gameplay totally last-minute and I generally find any story about immortality ridiculous when everybody in the story is absolutely certain of the existence of an afterlife. You want to make a compelling story about why immortality is a bad idea? Make it in a universe with no gods and no experiences after death. Then I'll listen to what you have to say on why people should still die.
