Oblivion - Thought it was vastly insuperior to Morrowind.

Final Fantasy 12 - I played this for about 30-40 hours and gave up when I realized I had no interest in any of the characters at all and I really didnt like the new battle system. It was too much of a departure from the formula of Final Fantasy gameplay.

Halo(series) - I just dont see what's so special about this game.

[li]Oblivion - Recommended by a friend. I think it's way too boring.[/li]
[li]Super Smash Bros - My circle of friends are those people when it comes to SSB. You know, the ones that turn off items and only play on Final Destination and talk about weird things like "wave dashing" and "L-canceling". [/li]
[li]The Need For Speed series - I dunno what it is, but every Need For Speed game I've ever played felt like there was no real effort put into the game. The only ones I liked were the Underground games.[/li]
[li]The Silent Hill series -This is mostly my fault. I haven't found the time to just sit down and play through the whole thing, but so far it hasn't really gripped me. I think it's probably because I'm used to the "run-n-gun" style of survival horror I get from Resident Evil. Speaking of which...[/li]
[li]Resident Evil 4 - This is the one that everyone loves for whatever reason. Personally, I loathe it. It should have been called "Resident Evil: Quick Time Events". This is the game that got started boring me with the series. Also: "Leon! Leon! Leon! LEON! LEON!! HEY! HEY! LISTEN! HEY LISTEN! HEY LISTEN!"[/li]
[li]Resident Evil 5 - Sheva. Fucking. Alomar. This one put the nail in the series' coffin for me.[/li]
[li]The Halo series - I could make a web series discussing all the reasons why I view this one with an evil eye[/li]
[li]The Legend of Zelda series - I'm not saying these games were bad, but I've never once felt compelled to finish any one of these for whatever reason. The only one in the entire series I've played from beginning to end was Wind Waker, and I love that game.[/li]
[li]Any Pokemon game made after Gold/Silver.[/li]

Baldur's Gate. Recommended by almost everyone who plays RPGs that Ive ever met. I found it to be pretty bad in every way when I actually played it.

World of Warcraft. It is one of my resolutions (doesn't have to happen this year though) to get a character to max level to see if the game gets better later on, but for now, I got bored in the level range 30-40.

I also think Oblivion is in serious need of Fallout 3's laser pistol. Meh. I'll just play Fallout 3 instead.

Final Fantasy 7. I forced my way through it and did beat it, but I've never picked it up since. The story was boring, the characters were terrible (Aries/whoever the girl in pink was... seriously, people got upset over her death?!), and was just little to no fun to play. FFX almost falls into this, but it was actually a little entertaining.

All of them. I'm so individual and cool that I can't get into any mainstream games. I'm into underrated titles like Bikini Samurai Squad. Awesome game. That's the point of this thread, right? So people can say stuff like that?
Whatever, I have quite low standards, but if something sells itself with high standards, I'll look at it differently. Wet had low standards so I went into it expected faults. Found faults. Carried on regardless and enjoyed myself. Ultimately, diving around shooting people with psychobilly playing in the background is fun.
But then games like Halo, say. Meant to be a landmark game so I judged it's on its own expectations. It didn't met up to them. I mean, it's just a shooter, right? Incredibly well polished, and as such was viewed as a the best of the first Xbox games when it came to showcasing the consoles abilities.
Does that make sense? Not really.
I think you've got the topic wrong. It's not about hating games and being all cool because they're main stream and you're a rebel. It's simply that you're unable to get into it despite trying. There are games I've enjoyed playing for a while, yet I'm unable to get into it, such as Guild Wars. The point here isn't mentioning popular games wwe hate, it's as simple as not getting into them.

Not only could I not get into No More Heroes, I came to hate it with a fiery passion. It's just so damn boring, so damn dull, that I couldn't even force myself to complete it.
No More Heroes is dull and it is made up by 10 different levels that are almost the same so I can understand how you failed to like it even though I actually enjoyed it very much. I think the story and the bosses were the reason I played it, it just had my kind of humour, but yeah, the gameplay's dull and uninspired.

Borderlands. Not bad, but the ending pissed me off to a degree where I was like "Fuck this shit".

Uhm... you couldn't get into Borderlands, but you did managed to see the ending? How's that possible? I'm quite into Borderlands and I enjoy playing it yet I have only seen 2 or 3 bosses despite that I've had it for a while.

I would also like to add like so many others Left 4 Dead 2. I enjoyed the demo, but I haven't played it much since it came out. I sit down and play for maybe an hour or something then I quit. It's not boring, but I just can't play it for long.

Okami. I fucking hated that game, and when I first said it on here I was shunned as scum from the arse of Rosie O'Donnell.

Definitely Final Fantasy XII, and most MMOs. I loved the other FF games, but XII felt like an mmo that happened to be offline, and I hate that sort of battle system.

Most MMOs bore me because their battle systems are almost all the same. Guild Wars felt like FlyFF felt like Perfect World to me.

A lot of popular FPS games just seemed too bland to me... Halo, Call of Duty, Resistance, Killzone etc.

I also tried to play World of Warcraft for a while, but when I realised that my only motivation for repetitive grind was to see what the Moonkin form looked like, I quit.
