No, it should not.

- Pornography completely objectifies women
- It sets unrealistic standards for real sex
- Many sex slaves in the world are linked to pornography
- 98% of female performers in pornography are unhappy (Apparently from a real study according to him)
- Lack of pornography would mean a drop in sexual crimes (I think completely the opposite)
- Stops children getting their hands on porno by accident
- If pornography was banned, it would mean a drop in human trafficking (again, an opinion I think completely the opposite to)
- All pornography objectifies women? Really? Well it's good he's seen all the porn in the multiverse so he can accurately assess that.
- Yes, wouldn't want our entertainment media to start portraying things unrealistically, since as humans we have no ability to form realistic expectations if we are subjected to fantastic illusions ever.
- Many sex slaves in the world are linked to pornography? I'm not sure what the argument is. Illegal aspects exist in this industry? I suppose they do, just like they do in all human endeavours. Let's talk about my new proposal to ban all clothes because some are sown by child labourers under terrible conditions.
- 98% of female actors are unhappy? 98% of PEOPLE are unhappy. If you walk around being happy, there's a good chance something is wrong with you, OR that the next horror the universe is scheduled to inflict on you is right around the corner. Happiness is a short-lived, fleeting sensation, not a sane norm.
- Drop in sexual crimes if porn was banned? Suffice to say, I have never seen this claim supported by evidence.
- There is no POINT in stopping children from accessing pornography. If they want to access it they will, legal or no. An overwhelming majority of children, meanwhile, are not interested or actively repulsed. If children access porn, TALK to them about the birds and the bees and send them on their way, they're not all that fragile.
- Once more, I'd like to see this "apparently real" study that says this stems from. I've not extensively researched this, but if conclusive evidence or statistically relevant studies had surfaced to this effect, those arguments would be everywhere UNTIL all porn is banned, yet that's not the case - all attacks on pornography tends to be anecdotal moralizing.
Your friend is an idiot.
