Day 1 DLC.
Not buying this. Saving to spend my money on a developer I can respect.
DLC that is unlockable in-game without spending a cent.
Basically it's 'hey, you can unlock this, but if you don't have the time/effort/puzzle-solving-ability to do so and you really want it, you can buy it'. I fail to see why opening more options is bad.

I really enjoyed it, I liked that the puzzles were more about the thinking than the execution too, made things a lot more enjoyable when I worked it out and finished a level right away than worked it out and spent the next 10 minutes trying to get the execution right.

Anyone else crack up when they plugged potato-GLADoS into the mainframe?

Id on't understand you. You care more about a developer's values than playing a good game? You're going to go and play a game that is (probably) not as good as Portal 2 because you don't like Valve? Stop caring about them and start caring about yourself.
Well in another forum I'd respond by saying 'who said I wasn't going to play it?' but I think that could get you in trouble here.

As in, where is it proven that you can unlock this stuff for free?

What is this day 1 DLC?
I haven't seen any of it and it's all people seem to be talking about!
Have you seen the TF2 item store, it's that.

Almost identical except all items are cosmetic.

And yes, you can earn said items just from playing multiplayer.

People are stupid.

Its skins for the co-op robots. Who cares? Doesn't affect game play.

Mind throwing the link to this DLC? I've seen bits and pieces saying that its planned, but nothing actually concrete.

Though there's something that puzzles me, in the Extras section of Portal 2, there's a small playable portion of something called Super 8. After playing through it, it links you to a trailer of Super 8, which is a movie by JJ Abrams. Gives rise to the question, what does Valve have to do with this?
This was confusing. I am pretty sure at some point Valve said they had 3 projects to release this year. Portal 2, DotA 2 and something they haven't named. Could it be a game for Super 8? Doesn't seem likely but it's something worth considering.

Wow you mustn't play many new games if you stay away from ones that have Day 1 DLC. You know you don't have to get it? They probably wouldn't have put it in the game if it wasn't going to make them more money anyway.

Basically a store you can buy skins/hats at for Atlus and P-Body.

http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/04/19/lets-address-some-portal-2-nonsense/

Doesn't add anything gameplay/narrative wise, but is a bit annoying that they couldn't just ahve them as unlocks, since they apparently wanted to make the multiplayer experience so great. Couldn't have wanted it too much.

/Bitterness

EDIT: Still can't wait to play it though! And I still love Valve.

None of the STALKER series have any DLC whatsoever, they're my favourite games. I gladly paid for all of those.

Game Length: A mere two hours. Not worth full price.

That's what I got and I beat the game with no rush tactics. I even got stuck more than a couple times.
As if. Stop lying to yourself and every1 else. I reckon it's a good 6-10 hours depending on your play style and how good you are at puzzles.

I looked around heaps trying to find Easter eggs and stuff. And yes there are some there. Ended up about 9 hours.

[EDIT]: Ive also read on multiple sites that the DLC is only weapon/character skins and such, and does not change the way the game plays so you aren't missing out on anything big. Its only for people who are really into the game.

Guess what song do I have on a loop right now?

I have to admit, It was a tad simplified in rythm and instruments but the vocals have improved.

Now... I only want you gone.

Ok, we get it, you don't like VALvE and you aren't going to buy Portal 2, I don't see the point in coming to this thread when it is essentially a place for people who like or are buying Portal 2. You made your opinion very clear in other threads, so what is the point in bringing your opinion into this thread when the people here like or love Portal.

I got about 4 and a half hours out of it. And let me tell you, were they enjoyable as hell. The ending was boss too... and also made no sense... and was fucking hilarious. Can't wait to play some co-op.

It was everything I thought it would be. One of my predictions was correct, but in a much bigger way than I'd anticipated and something else in the same sort of area as that pretty much blindsided me. Wheatley brought a fresh type of comedy along with some other qualities and our dear GLaDOS was none too shabby either.

I've yet to try the Co-op but when the guy that I said I'd play through it with gets done with the SP I'll see what it's all about.
